Chapter 1 - Prologue

Passing on a LEGACY

YEAR 2010

C.L.U's Last MilliTronCycle

Following the events on the Grid, Sam escapes from the Grid, along with Quorra, the presumed last of the ISOs, using the disc of his father, Kevin Flynn, the creator of the Grid. Kevin reminisces about the last time he saw his son as a small boy, feeling both sad and proud at the same time. Sad that he couldn't be with his son forever but proud that his son was, instead, the perfect creation, not CLU. After so much anguish, Sam bids a final farewell to his father, not before seeing him reintegrate with his creation. Sam and Quorra escape from the Grid into the real world. Digitizing back into the basement of the Arcade, Sam takes backup of the system. and turns it off. He ties the gateway - key locked around his neck, as the best reminder of his father's memory. As he emerges back into the arcade hall, Alan meets Sam at the arcade's entrance and asks about Sam's activity the whole night. Devoid of any explanation, Sam hugs Alan and says he was right "About Everything".

Stepping outside the Arcade, Sam spots Quorra leaning over his bike. She says "So what's next, Sam", to which he replies "I guess we're supposed to change the world". Hoping on his bike, Quorra is exuberant and excited to see the Sun for the first time since her genesis. As she smiles heartfully experiencing the sunrise, Quorra, an ISO now turned into complete flesh and blood, develops feelings of inexplicable intimation and closeness to Sam. Happy with the joy of seeing the sun in its whole, along with Sam, with whom she could live for all the Tron Cycles she would exist. It was a feeling only she could experience.

Sam riding Quorra on his bike, takes her to his garage, introducing her to 'Marv'. As Quorra views all the "other-worldly" objects with curiosity, Sam diverts her attention to the river-side view in front of his garage. Quorra's eyes sparkle with delight seeing the river, which is gorgeous compared to the neon liquids in the Grid in her eyes. It was a scenery she never imagined she'd get in any of her 50 Tron Cycles. Quorra then innocently asks whether Jules Verne built this, to which Sam jokes that the Sea is like the Sea of Life in Grid, which produced Jules Verne, similar to the birth of an ISO. Quorra believes it to be real and wishes the sea to produce another Jules Verne again, just for her.
