Chapter 8 - Hathor and Anubis

Seeing the girl's iconic cow ears, Tan Weili immediately recognized her. She was the Goddess of Love and Beauty, the Goddess of Wealth, the Goddess of Dance, and the Goddess of Music, Hathor.

In addition, in Egypt mythology, she also had another identity, the wife of the red-eyed Horus.

However, Tan Weili, who had come to Egypt, had never heard that he and Hathor had been married.

It was not strange.

After all, before he was reincarnated, Horus had been in a deep sleep.

Even if fate had determined that he and Hathor would become husband and wife, he would have to wait until Horus woke up, right?

Since Hathor wasn't his wife yet, Tan Weili was more polite and restrained.

He tried his best not to look at Hathor's chest. As the Goddess of Love and Beauty, one of Hathor's forms was a cow. Even in her most human form, her chest still...

"It's so late, what's up Hathor," Tan Weili said softly.

As Egypt was a relatively early civilization, the gods described by mortals were generally rough and reckless.

Even the Lord of the Netherworld, Osiris, who was more like a mature ruler, would also wantonly show off the terrifying Netherworld aura on his body. He did not know how to restrain himself.

So, this was the first time Hathor had seen a god as gentle and refined as Tan Weili.

This made Hathor's face blush uncontrollably.

Fortunately, she did not forget her mission.

Trying hard to calm her heart, Hathor said, "Horus, your condition today is a little strange. I would like to know if you have accepted the power from Ra?"

Tan Weili was stunned by Hathor's question.

He didn't understand why Hathor asked this question, so he tried to recall the Ancient Egypt mythology he knew.

Soon, he remembered a past that belonged to Hathor...

As Ra's daughter, Hathor had once received Ra's eyes that had the power of the sun.

However, how violent was Ra's divine sun power? Under the influence of the power, Hathor's personality changed drastically, and she became a brutal valkyrie!

She had started a large number of wars and massacres, directed the people to be plunged into misery and suffering, and caused rivers of blood to flow.

In the end, Ra had to use all his strength to take back the divine sun power from Hathor.

Since then, Hathor had been very afraid of the Sun God's power.

When Tan Weili had displayed his strong and violent killing intent on the balcony today, Hathor had suspected that Tan Weili had obtained Ra's power and was in a state where he could lose control at any moment!

Tan Weili didn't know whether to laugh or cry at Hathor's concern.

He asked Hathor, "Look at me. Do I look like I'm going to lose control at any moment after receiving the divine sun power?"

Upon hearing this, Hathor's watery eyes began to scan his body.

Looking at Tan Weili's gentle and elegant appearance, there were no signs of him losing control.

However, Hathor was still worried.

She asked Tan Weili, "You really did not accept the divine sun power?"

Tan Weili laughed. "I might accept divine sun power in the future, but I don't have it now."

"My power comes from myself, not from any god."

That included Horus!

With Tan Weili's assurance, Hathor was relieved.

However, even though Hathor was certain that Horus was not showing any signs of losing control, she felt that if she were to stand in front of Horus, she would lose control in another sense at any time.

In order not to lose her composure, Hathor had to bid farewell to the other party and turned to leave.

But just as she turned the corner, she heard the maids in the palace talking in low voices.

"Did you see His Highness Horus' performance today? He's too handsome!"

"What are you thinking? No matter how handsome His Highness Horus is, it's not your turn! You! Don't even think about it! As a god, His Highness can only marry a god!"

"Eh? Can you not be so direct?! You'll get your retribution! But then again... Which goddess do you think will marry His Highness?"

"Emmm... I think Her Highness Hathor is not bad! What do you think?"

Hearing the maid's words, Hathor could no longer control herself.

She quickly took control of her face, and a strange feeling unconsciously appeared between her legs.

Her legs gave way and she fell to the ground...

...

On the other side, Tan Weili, who had just said goodbye to Hathor, smelled the stench of mummies and heard the whispers of ghosts.

This feeling was somewhat similar to when he faced Osiris, but there were also some subtle differences.

In the next second, Tan Weili turned around and saw a god with a jackal's head appear in front of him.

That was Anubis, Horus' half-brother!

"Horus, you're not bad! As Ra's daughter, Hathor is the most aloof of the goddesses. "

"There were countless gods who wanted to pursue her, but they were all ruthlessly rejected by her."

"I didn't expect that she would actually like you!"

Tan Weili remained silent in response to Anubis' jeering.

He was not a scumbag who liked to boast about how attractive he was in front of women. Even if he participated in walking marriages during the Stone Age, it was only to fulfill his reproductive obligation as a part of human beings.

Even if Hathor was destined to be his future wife, he didn't want to comment on her as if she was a trophy.

But he couldn't say that he wasn't interested in Hathor.

'If Hathor finds out about this, it'll be troublesome...'

Therefore, he could only ask, "Did you come to me just to talk about this?" to Anubis with questioning eyes.

Seeing that his brother was not willing to talk too much about this issue, Anubis tactfully changed the topic.

He said with a serious face, "Ra and my father didn't allow me to see you before your awakening ceremony, so I had to come to find you as soon as the awakening ceremony ended."

"Oh?"

Hearing this, Tan Weili's eagle-like eyes stared at Anubis, and his expression became serious.

Then, he heard Anubis ask him, "In your sleep over the past hundreds of years, I noticed that you had looked toward the northwest unconsciously several times with a ferocious expression that seemed to be filled with hatred."

"In order to investigate what's in the northwest, I went to the northwest alone to explore."

"In the end, I saw a few city-states on a small island that were as civilized as Egypt, and the gods that the mortals believed in."

"I want to know, what's your relationship with the people there?"

Tan Weili was stunned when he heard that.

He had never thought that Anubis would travel all the way from Egypt to England.

The distance between Egypt and United Kingdom was over 4000 kilometers!

In this era, 4000 kilometers was a distance that could not be crossed!
