"No," Bane replied shortly.
"No? What do you mean by no?" Aella raised her eyebrows with a frown.
"It is a term of negative response, which means I-"
"I understand perfectly what a no is. I mean why would you say that?" Aella gritted out.
They were in the dining room, having breakfast as usual, at opposite ends of the table filled with various types of dishes.
Aella was unable to eat the food due to the scorching pain travelling up her arm from the wound she had sustained yesterday.
She hadn't felt much pain until she woke up this morning with the injury bleeding out and staining her bedsheets as well.
Bane had cleaned it up for her before they moved to the room to have breakfast but Aella was having difficulty holding the spoon since it was her right hand that was wounded.
So, as mischievous as she was, she decided to ask a favour from Bane which he rejected coldly, without a single sign of remorse.
