"Are you really not going to say anything about our child?" Aella asked, watching Bane from behind. His shoulders seemed tense as though this was the last conversation he wanted to have.
"A child you did not want me to know about?" When he turned to look at her, she saw deep-seated pain in his golden eyes. "Why do you inquire me of it now?"
"I wanted-" She paused, trying to calm herself down as tears filled her eyes. "How was I supposed to say anything when you were barely healing from what happened to you? You did not even look at me for the past week!"
Bane took a step forward but paused right away, almost like he had regretted his actions. "Do you think I am in the right state to raise a child?"
"What are you saying, Bane?" the tears she had been struggling to hold onto unleashed at full force now. "What am I supposed to do then? Jump off a bridge or drink poison to get rid of it?"
