"Mother," Aella pulled away from her mother, keeping her eyes on her downcast sister. "May I have some time alone with Aurelia?"
"Aella, I'm afraid that's not possible. Your sister will be called anytime from-"
"It's fine, Mother." Aurelia interrupted the Baroness's concern with a stern nod.
Aella could tell her mother was scared to let her be alone with Aurelia for fear that she might instigate her sister not to go ahead with the wedding. Aurelia's eyes remained firm on her mother and the Baroness backed down with a sigh.
"Fine, but take not too long." She muttered before turning around, and closing the door behind,
"Tell me." Aella demanded as soon as they were alone in the room. "Vladter did something, did he not? He said something? What happened that you're this sad, Aurelia?"
"As usual, you're observant and clever." Aurelia said with a sad smile tugging on her lips.
