"You are really unpredictable." Bane whispered to Aella as they sat side by side in the carriage. "Tell me, why did you insist on going there?"
"They invited the bride's family to dine with them, did they not? Last time I checked, we are part of the bride's family." Aella whispered back to him before giving her mother a wide smile.
"Thank you for agreeing to come with me, Aella. I am sure your sister will be overjoyed to see you." The Baroness smiled at her eldest daughter.
"I doubt that." Aella murmured under her breath.
"What?"
"I said, of course, Mother." Aella maintained the wide smile on her face.
"You still have not told me the real reason you are going to the Palace." Bane stared at Aella pointedly and she knew he wasn't going to let this go until she gave him at least a reasonable reason.
