Aella walked out of the witch's workshop and rested her weight on her knees as she breathed out in haste.
What she had heard in there was enough to hunt her for a lifetime. It made her heart beat so fast that she was scared she was going to have an attack.
How? And why?
Lumen had made it so clear that Aurelia was to get married to Vladter no matter what she did. There was no way to stop it from happening.
How was she to accept that news? How was she to sit back and let that man ruin her sister's life?
Aella closed her eyes in pain, not knowing what to do about this situation.
"Aella. Aella, are you okay?"
She heard Bane's voice as he held her shoulders. Her eyes opened up and in the sapphire orbs gleamed tears of sorrow.
"Aella," Bane breathed out as he drew her close to his chest.
"I can not accept this. I can not accept this, Bane," she shook her head firmly as she stubbornly held back her tears.
