Aella flinched slightly as she opened up her skin with her blood leaking to the floor in front of everyone but she had a stony look on her face as she made sure to drive her point home.
"Aella!" her mother was quick to rush to her side as she grabbed her hand.
"Oh, stupid girl, what have you done?"
All of a sudden, Lord Mandeur stood up from the sofa and began to laugh with a mocking tone. He tilted his head behind as his cackles filled the air.
Aella frowned as she didn't know what was so amusing.
"Nicely played, little girl," he clapped his hands with a sheer smile on his thin lips.
"How innocent of you to think that just a show of your blood will be able to shed off the relationship we shared for so many years," Lord Mandeur shook his head with what seemed like pity.
"There is nothing more that we share. The hornage has been broken and we have paid off every debt we owe. What more do you want from us?" Aella gritted at the old man.
