Chapter 39: Closest friends
Jeremy left the hospital sooner than he had expected. He had gotten some news from the Blacks. Not a very pleasant one though. But it would do for now. Tony had offered to go with him and he agreed. So together they drove to where Mr Woods was being held.
They arrived at one of Jeremy's facilities, Where he stores his imported goods. They went down to the basement were the Blacks were stationed at the door waiting for him.
"Mr Nobody. Mr Grey." The man in black addressed Jeremy and Tony.
"So let me get this straight. Mr Woods is ready to say everything but only to Jeremy." Tony inquired.
"Yes, Mr Grey." The man in black replied.
"Open the door." Jeremy said and the man in Black unlocked the door and pushed it open.
All four walked in.
Mr Woods looked up at the people who just walked in. Just as he thought. "Jeremy Nobody." Who else would have the balls to do this to him.
"Good. Your finally here." Mr Woods said as he looked at Jeremy.
Jeremy turned and looked at the Blacks who were standing behind him. "Indeed you've lost your touch. Can't believe his still able to speak clearly. What exactly am l paying you for?" Jeremy asked with a death stare.
The man in Black didn't say any but the lady in Black wasn't so quiet. "With all due respect sir, you said you wanted him back in one piece. I don't think cutting out his tongue would do any one any good. But if you want that all you need to do is ask." The lady in black said as she brought out a pocket knife from her black jacket. Everyone in the room couldn't help but notice her flirtatious tone.
Jeremy looked at her. He let his eyes scan her body. "Sexianna Black." Or so she calls her self. What mother would give birth to a child and name her Sexianna. Weird. But her body did justice to her name.
"Please untie me." Mr Woods begged grabbing Jeremy's attention.
"You said you'll tell me everything. So start talking."
"Will l get realised the moment I tell you everything?"
Jeremy smiled. A devilish one.
"You collaborated with someone to end the life of one of my closest friends. And you want to be realised?"
"It was not my idea. I was just meant to lure him to my house that's it. The real master mind is Drake Lockman, and his a very dangerous man."
"Where is he?"
"I don't know."
"What is his motive?"
"He hates you. He hates you so much. I don't why but he does. And I'm sure as hell that his not the only one. I believe you did something to him in the past and now.. Well you know the rest."
Jeremy thought hard for a while. He doesn't remember anyone with the last name Lockman. How had he offended this person?
Meanwhile Tony who was standing by the side and could barely listen to anything Mr Woods was saying because of the stench of the room. Even his eyes watered. Then there was heat offcourse which he couldn't bare. But when he heard Mr Woods say the Lockman guy hated Jeremy a question popped in his head and he voiced out.
"If this Lockman guy has some grudges against Jeremy, then why was Steve the one in the accident?" Tony asked Mr Woods.
"You heard him say it yourself didn't you? That l collaborated to harm of off his CLOSEST FRIENDS. Drake doesn't want to harm you. At least not yet, he'll start with the one's close to you."
Tony almost chocked on his saliva after hearing the last statement.
Jeremy turned to leave there was nothing more Mr Woods could tell him. He knew a puppet when he saw one.
"W..wait where are you going please you have to realise me."
"And why would l do that."
"You don't understand. Drake is a very dangerous man. If he finds out l betrayed him he'll go after my daughter."
"And why would he do that. I thought you two were friends."
"We're not. We are barely partners. Please. I've given useful information and everything l know. Please release me." Mr Woods begged.
Jeremy thought for a while then sighed. " Untie him, give him some water and food, get him clean clothes and drive him home. But before you do all that. Sexianna break his right leg." Jeremy ordered.
"With all pleasure." Sexianna the lady in black replied with a excitement."
Jeremy and Tony left the room. The screams of Mr Woods could be heard behind them but everything faded the moment the metal door was shut.
They walked out of the facility and went over to their car. Jeremy had a calm expression on his face like he wasn't in the same room with the rest of them. Tony looked at Jeremy puzzled on how he still managed to remain calm and unmoved.
"You know if your men still haven't found this Lockman guy then it could be true that indeed is a very dangerous man. Shouldn't we be worried?"
"No."
"Why?"
"I'm also dangerous. And you don't have to worry you can catch the next flight to Switzerland for all l care." Jeremy said nonchalantly.
"I can't believe you think l want to leave." Tony said hurt by Jeremy's words. "But l won't lie l thought about it." Tony said with a dry laugh and Jeremy smiled.
"Tell Steve. He should know too."
"Sure. But what are you going to do now?"
"I'm gonna find this Lockman guy."
