Chapter 1 - Chapter 22: Locked in.

Melissa woke up again. And she found out that she was still in the same room she woke up to earlier. The headache she was feeling had subsided a bit but she still couldn't remember anything from last night.

Thinking of last night, she examined her body warily and found out that she was no longer wearing a the bathrobe. She was wearing a decent metre red dress.

"Don't worry. The the maid changed it for you."

Melissa looked up from hearing a familiar voice. He was sitting on a white sofa across the room. His eyes were sharp but beautiful and he was staring closely at her.

"How did l get here.?"

"You seriously don't remember anything." Jeremy asked amused.

"If l did I wouldn't be asking you, now would l?" Melissa asked a little irritated.

Jeremy cleared his throat. No one had ever spoken to him in that manner. And if they ever did he would just have them killed. But here this woman was talking to him in what ever manner she pleased.

"You were drunk. I found you and l helped you. Your welcome." Jeremy replied a visibly upset. He liked her way better when she was drunk.

Melissa scoffed.

"Then can you explain to me how l ended up in your bed." Melissa asked also really upset.

"Why don't you wait until you remember everything before asking me useless questions." Jeremy said getting up from the sofa and heading towards the door. What did she see him as? Some kind of pervert. Unbelievable.

"Wait." Melissa shouted as she got down from the bed. "I wanna go home now."

A smirk appeared on Jeremy's face.

"Your not going anywhere until you remember everything and apologise to me."

"Your joking right? Cause you can't keep me here. You have no right."

"Watch me." Jeremy said and walked out the door locking it behind him.

Melissa raced to the door when she heard the lock. But she was to late she banged on it and screamed for him to let her out but she was only wasting her energy because he was clearly not coming back.

Melissa walked back to the bed and fell tiredly on it. After thirty minutes of screaming on top of her voice and nothing happened. Why on earth would he tell her to remember and apologise. What would she be apologising for.

She was getting really upset with her current situation. But then she heard the lock of the door and sprang up from the bed. Thinking it was Jeremy. But to her disappointment it wasn't. It was a middle age lady. A really pretty one. She had a warm smile on her face and she carried a food tray.

"Good morning dear. I see your finally awake." She said placing the tray on the bed stand.

"Mmm. Who are you?

"I work here dear. My name is Corene."

"Oh." Melissa replied.

"You don't remember me do you?"

"I'm afraid not."

"I was the one who helped clean you up yesterday." Corene said with a polite smile.

"Thank you." Melissa replied with an embarrassed smile.

"Don't be like dear. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. But I'm a little curious to what made a beautiful lady like you drink so much alcohol." Corene asked with concern. "You know it's really unhealthy."

Melissa looked at Corene's concerned eyes and then she remembered why she drank so much last night. "Because l lost my job." Melissa whispered.

"Oh, dear that's not a good enough reason for you to drink that amount of alcohol. Imagine if sir hadn't found you yesterday. Goodness who knows what would have happened." Corene said with a shiver trying not to even imagine it.

Melissa was quite. She was thinking really hard about last night. Some how she felt like she was in some kind of danger at a certain point last night.

"I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm here to help." Melissa remembered this sentence and everything from last night came flooding in.

Everything she said and everything she did.

"Oh my God. What the hell have l done." Melissa thought with dread. Her face was pale like there was no blood left in it. She warily looked up at Corene.

"Don't worry. I'm sure sir understands everything. You were drunk and it wasn't your fault. Besides l don't think he has ever cared for someone the way he did for you last night."

Corene said with a wink.

"Oh God." Melissa said as she buried her head in her hands.
