With the battle cry of Commander Emmett Grey, the soldiers deployed in the tech city (a power plant city placed in the outskirts, so that the pollution and radiation doesn't affect common residents).
There was a Tyrant wave attacking here, and if they succeed, it may be a great loss of life and resources. So the Ops arrived to take care of the scene.
When Madelyn and team arrived, all they saw was death and destruction. Erik got so distracted he didn't notice a Tyrant was about to attack him. That's when Madelyn entered and rescued him.
"What are you doing Erik!?" Madelyn screamed at him.
"Sorry I got distracted-" Erik was replying absent mindedly when Madelyn cut him off, "You lose focus you die. You'll stay near me. In case."
"Nothing will happen to me Madelyn!" Erik replied in anger.
"But-" Madelyn was about to say something but Erik cut her off, "No ifs, no buts. I'm not a child anymore. I'll show you how strong I am."
Saying this he used his Ops Grappling gun and grappled to nearby building debris to check upon a near Tyrant.
"But I can't let you die, Erik." Madelyn whispered to herself.
Suddenly, a Tyrant appeared behind her. Madelyn jumped and grappled to nearby building. "It was close." she said to herself, then she grappled near its thighs, stroke its knee with her sword, then grappled to its shoulders, keeping her sword penetrated in its back, then took out her sword and stroke in its spinal cord, before landing on its shoulder. Then she took out some ninja explosives, took out her sword, then threw the explosives inside the spinal wound, which exploded while going inside, and Tyrant started falling to the ground.
"Phew!" escaped her lips.
She saw around to look for more Tyrants. She saw Erik and Aaron fighting a Tyrant, while Selena and Ciaran were toying with other. Jacob came behind Madelyn suddenly, "Are you fine? I saw you were surprise attacked by a Tyrant." he asked.
"Yeah I am fine. What about others?" she replied.
"You can see pretty well. Aaron Erik fighting one, Selena and Ciaran playing with other. Damn! How can they be not-serious at this time?" Jacob said.
"Its Selena and Ciaran after all." Madelyn replied.
"Watch out! Other one's coming in our direction." Jacob alarmed.
"Don't worry. I'll take care of it." Madelyn said, then grappled towards the Tyrant.
Suddenly, she saw its neck getting blown off. She quickly changed her direction, but was about to hit a wall that was in the direction she steered herself..
"Got you!" Jacob cried, "Damn Madelyn, you should mind your surroundings a bit. You may hurt yourself."
"I am sorry." she replied. They both landed safely on ground.
"How did that explosion occur?" Madelyn asked.
"Let me see." Jacob answered and jumped over a tilted wall to get a better view.
"Ah! Captain and Spec Ops. I didn't expect they'd come. And they took care of that big Tyrant so quickly, Elites for a reason." Jacob exclaimed.
"So that was Spec Ops' doing? Damn!" Madelyn exclaimed. She turned around to see how others were doing, that's when she saw the Tyrant that Erik and Aaron were fighting took Aaron in his hand, while it swallowed Erik.
"Errriiiiik!" Madelyn screamed and grappled and ran towards it desperately, but it was late. Erik was swallowed. Then the Tyrant was about to eat Aaron, but Madelyn cut its wrist, due to which it released Aaron, and he started falling down. Jacob caught him. Then Madelyn madly went to its neck and penetrated her sword. The Tyrant growled. Madelyn took out her sword, then inserted many explosives, went away in a safe distance.
The Tyrant's neck exploded, and it fell to the ground. Madelyn started forming tears in her eyes. She fell on her knees on the ground, and started staring the sky aimlessly.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't save him, or do anything." Aaron spoke with struggle while crawling near Madelyn.
"Its fine. You couldn't have done anything." Madelyn said with a deep tone.
Selena and Ciaran appeared near them, "Hey everyone! This area is now under control. Come! We have to go to Zone B, the final Zone." Selena was informing when she saw Madelyn on ground, "Madelyn! Is everything ok?"
"The Tyrant ate Erik, and its all my fault." Aaron said looking down.
"Aaron, what happened to you!?" Ciaran said and ran towards him, helping Jacob to hold him. "You need medical attention. Come with me!"
"No. If possible, I would love to die." Aaron said looking towards ground.
"(To Aaron) Enough Aaron. I lost Erik. I can't lose you. (To Ciaran) Ciaran. Take him. (To Jacob) You go with him." Madelyn said.
"But-" Jacob was about to counter but Madelyn cut him off by saying, "Go."
"Alright." Jacob sighed.
"Come Selena." Madelyn ordered Selena.
"Ok." Selena replied.
Madelyn went crazy and started killing almost every Tyrant that was coming in her way. There came a time when Selena and few other soldiers even stopped trying, while Madelyn was just slaying many Tyrants.
A cat appeared out of nowhere which advanced towards Madelyn. Madelyn didn't concentrate on the cat. Suddenly, the cat converted into a Tyrant, and since Madelyn's guard was down, she wasn't in a position to evade.
"I guess this is my time to join my family." Madelyn whispered to herself.
Suddenly, another Tyrant appeared, which was like a Werewolf, and attacked the Cat Tyrant with its jaws.
The Cat Tyrant and the Werewolf Tyrant had a great fight, while Madelyn just saw the scenario in front of her.
At the end, the Werewolf Tyrant bit the neck of the Cat Tyrant badly, it passed away.
"Who is this Werewolf Tyrant now?" Madelyn asked her.
"Madelyn! Quickly! Come here!" Selena screamed.
Suddenly, the Werewolf started howling. Then it fell on the ground. Madelyn slowly advanced towards it.
"Madelyn! Are you really doing this now!?" Selena cried.
Madelyn nodded.
Suddenly, the body of the Tyrant started shrinking, and shrinking, and what Madelyn saw was horrifying for her. She saw Erik lying down in front of her. She quickly ran near him, picked him up, hugged him and started crying like a child.
Selena and others came near her as well. They couldn't understand what happened.
Suddenly, someone came and pulled Erik away from Madelyn. "Threat Acquired sir." one of them said. Madelyn looked up, she saw one of the Spec Ops member holding Erik and going away.
"Wait! Where are you taking him?" Madelyn cried before running behind him. She desperately tried to catch Erik but was stopped by Selena.
"What!?" Madelyn cried while struggling to get out of her grasp.
"Stop now, you'll bring more trouble for yourself as well as him." Selena said. Madelyn stopped struggling.
"Come. Lets go where he's been taken." A random soldier told Madelyn.
"Ok." she replied.
Everyone headed to where Erik was taken by the Spec Ops Soldier. There were other soldiers too that covered the area. On a higher ground, was Commander Emmett Grey. A few feet above him, was Erik hung with chains, binding his wrist, with other end, tied above.
"Erik!" she cried.
"Deputy Commander Parker!" Commander Emmett called.
"Yes sir." Deputy Commander Parker said.
"He's in your team right?" Commander asked.
"Yes sir. Though we didn't know he was an Impostor." she replied.
"So what shall we do?" Commander asked.
"Do whatever you want. Whatever will be your choice, I would imply." she replied.
"Alright then execution it is, as said by everyone present here." Commander concluded.
Tears started flowing Madelyn's eyes again. She fell on her knees, covering her face with her palm. For her, she is at her weakest point now, but it didn't matter to her.
"Taking such a big decision without me Emmett?" a voice said.
Madelyn stopped at once and looked up. She saw Captain grappling and landing near Commander. He started looking at unconscious Erik, dangling.
"Emmett, Parker and other soldiers! Go behind the safe distance! At once!" he ordered, "Soldiers! make sure everyone does what I say."
Everyone heard a group "Yes sir!" and Spec Ops soldiers came on ground, jumping from different locations.
"Everyone back off as ordered!" one of the soldiers said, while the other soldier said to Commander and Deputy Commander, "Commander and Deputy Commander, this way please."
Within few minutes, ground was clear, everyone watched everything from afar. Captain Lionel pulled Erik down and untied his hands. Then he threw a bucket full of water on him.
"Transform" Captain ordered.
"Huh? Where am I? Captain?" Erik said in confusion.
"Transform Impostor!" Captain yelled then punched Erik harder in face. Erik screamed in pain. Madelyn, on the other side, was getting outraged. She wanted to step in but couldn't do anything. She was getting frustrated, while Erik was getting beaten badly. With the last punch, Erik's teeth came out.
"Looks like you won't listen to me." he said in a deep voice. "You leave me no choice." Everyone saw Captain taking out his sword, and stab Erik in abdomen region. Madelyn felt as if her soul left her body. The hope which she regained with Erik's return as Werewolf Tyrant is now gone, while hatred for Captain filled in her. She became so mad, she could even go against authorities to murder him.
"Waste of time he was." Captain whispered to himself. "Anyways, we were about to execute him either way." Captain said putting his sword back into his scabbard and walking away.
