~ If you are not brave enough no one will back you up.
Alighting from the taxi, Ocean fixed her skirt and took in a deep breath before slowly exhaling. She craned her neck to stare at the skyscraper In front of her and was engulfed by fear.
Knowing it was now or never, she took the first step and then the next until she got to the entrance.
She smiled and offered her greetings to the security man at the door before entering. She walked towards the reception and stated the reason for her appearance and was immediately directed by a receptionist to the tenth floor.
She was shown to wait in a room and offered her thanks before taking a seat. The receptionist stared pitifully at her before taking her leave. She just didn't understand why the young women thought they could change the boss. All the applicants who came for the interview were dressed rather provocatively.
From her opinion, the best amongst them was the new girl. She would've wished that she gets the job but if she does, she wouldn't even survive a day here. With a shake of her head, she clears her mind of these thoughts and resumes her work.
Meanwhile, Ocean, in the waiting room anxiously bites her bottom lip as the urge to stuff her little finger into her mouth increases. She had a habit of biting her bottom lip or stuffing her little finger into her mouth whenever she was anxious.
The door to the interview room slammed open and out strode a beautiful brunette with tears running down her face. She glared at everything in her path and stormed off after flipping Ocean the bird.
Her heart thudded loudly in her chest as different scenarios run through her brain.
She didn't have enough time to mull over what happened as she was called into the interview room.
She knocked and entered after hearing her name. She took a seat only after being offered one and greeted them politely.
The older man out of the panel stared at her before writing something down and gesturing for the others to continue.
The interview begun and questions were asked. She tried her best to answer them and offered a smile when one of them cracked a joke. It soon came to an end and she stood up to shake hands with them. After wishing them a good day, she turned around to make her exit when her name was mentioned.
She turned around and smiled politely at the one who called her name.
"Make sure you report to work early tomorrow, Miss Stanfield. Your boss hates tardiness." He replied with a smile.
She squealed and slammed her hand over her mouth at the astonished look on the panels' faces.
"It is an honour to be granted the permission to work with you. Thank you so much."
She offered her thanks and exited the room smiling from ear to ear.
The smile remained in her face even as she exited the building. The receptionist from earlier shook her head softly and muttered something incoherent under her breath.
