Damon chuckled dryly at his thoughts. She wasn't just any woman though. He guessed his mom understood since she had a mate too.
Damon made the dry sound again then he refused to think of that anymore. He stayed awake and kept enjoying the very cold breeze of the early morning and in just a few hours, it was the breaking of a new day. It was a new dawn and it didn't take long before he saw the sun beginning to rise from afar.
The night had been a bloody one and now that he had dealt with some enemies and calmed down, perhaps he should head home too. Seeing that Sephirah and Zuka did as they were told and didn't look for him throughout the night, they would probably start to look for him this morning.
