(Location: The Forest)
Stranger's POV:
Shit! It's getting late. I spent too much time collecting woods. I need to get out of the forest as quickly as possible. No! No! No! No! The moon is out. Someone will die. I don't want to be that someone. What's that sound behind me? Should I stop?
"Who's there?" I stopped. I don't dare to look behind. It's coming closer and closer.
*growls*
This is it. I am done for. I look behind.
Red eyes. Blood dripping. Can't see clearly but I can smell it. It's not attacking me. Should I run?
As I move I can feel it staring at me. It didn't attack. But why?
Stranger's POV end
(Location: Umi's room)
Umi's POV:
After a long day of boring classes and club meetings, I am exhausted. After a shower, I lay down on my bed and shut my eyes. Ethan. Suddenly, my phone rings. Could it be him? At this hour?
I look at my phone. It's Lucas.
"Hello?"
"Hey. Are you alright?"
"Yeah. Why do you ask?"
"Well, today is the full moon night. Lock your balcony and make sure you have your windows closed."
Suddenly, a loud sound, my glass door of the balcony broke.
At that very moment, the lights went out in the whole town. My hands are shaking.
"Umi?! What was that sound?! Are you ok?! Umi?!"
I dropped the phone. Blood-thirsty eyes. Dark red. I can only see its eyes in the darkness. I have to run. I have to get out of here. I can't move. Why can't I move? Fear? I am scared. Of dying? It's looking straight at me. As if it is seeing my soul. What is it? Is that it? The legendary werewolf? That only existed in stories and films?
Move! Move! Move! It's like I am completely frozen in fear. Why isn't it attacking? Why isn't it tearing me apart? It's growling. Now howls.
My door bursts open. Someone pulled me out of there. We ran out of my house.
"Are you ok?!"
Lucas. It's him. He saved me. I couldn't speak. We are just running. Far away.
(Location: Lucas's house)
"Umi? Umi? Speak. Say something! Umi!"
I don't know why. I hugged him tightly. Cried. I am so weak.
Umi's POV end
Lucas's POV:
After hearing a loud sound I ran to Umi. I made it in time. I don't know what that was but I am glad we made it safely out of there.
Suddenly, she hugged me tightly. She's crying. I am shocked by her sudden behavior. I hugged her back. Waited till she calms down.
"I-I am sorry."
"Dumb girl. Why were you just standing there?"
"I couldn't move. My body won't move."
"Your face gets red like a tomato when you cry." Saying that I laughed.
"Lucas you jerk!!" She hits me with a pillow and we are both laughing. At least all I can do is make her mood better!
Lucas's POV end
Umi's POV:
Look at him. Making me laugh at the wrong time like always! Brings back memories. Can't forget when he made me laugh during that devil math sir's class. The whole class was staring at us!
"Umi. You can stay in the next room."
"Oh. Ok."
"Or do you wanna sleep here with me?" He laughs.
I hit him again with the pillow. "YOU PERVERT!!" He laughs louder.
"I am sorry! I am sorry! I was joking!"
He fixes his hair with his hand and then looks at me. Smiles.
His smile is comforting. I went to the next room.
(Next Morning)
I woke up with a knock on my door.
"Umi? You up?"
Before I can open the door, Jade rushes in and hugs me tightly.
"Umi you scared me!!"
The news was on the television. I could hear it.
News reporter: The murderer of these killings has been arrested this morning. Last night he was caught while hiding a young woman's dead body.
"WAIT. Murderer?!"
