Maddie didn't answer. Maybe she knew the reason by just guessing but that didn't mean Bram had to hear it. "I don't know."
That was all Maddie said, Bram was not satisfied with the accepted answer. He asserted, "There's no way you don't know. You guys are good friends. At least you should know."
"I don't know!" Maddie didn't want to lose or be pressured, loudly telling him, "We may be friends but that doesn't mean I know everything about Castelia. If she wanted to act as if she didn't know Joshua, then what was so special about it? It's not like Joshua wants to be friends with her or be nice just because they know each other!"
Let Bram know if Maddie is wrong. Bram couldn't because Bram knew Maddie was right. Joshua like that was the Joshua he knew. Friends or whatever, they all mean nothing to Joshua. He's just being nice when he wants to and doesn't need a reason to forget anyone or be mean.
