Two days after completing the assignment, Castelia and Maddie moved to another country, to be exact, on the beach with extreme weather and bikinis. They both raised glasses of wine and smashed it lightly against each other for a high five.
"Hah~" Maddie took a deep breath, gazing at the beautiful view through her sunglasses to reduce the sun's brightness. "What should we do next?" she asked as she watched some people playing around the thigh-high water.
This is Castelia and Maddie's life. Scare women who steal people's husbands, earn money, spend it and go back to work. The same life for two years and they enjoy it even though they hope to make more money. "Should we raise the price of our job?" The voice belonged to Castelia, she seemed to be thinking the same thing Maddie was doing.
Maddie turned and they looked at each other through their sunglasses. They smile at each other because it's funny somehow, they always think the same thing. "An extra five grand to scare the b*tch," Maddie joked, causing Castelia to chuckle.
Castelia took a sip of wine before glancing back at the sea and telling, "Veronica sent us an extra two thousand dollars." That's small judging by how much they both earn in one go, but let's say they appreciate her kind tips.
"I bet her husband is confused in the bathroom right now," Maddie said and imagined what happened after they left Bianca's house.
After Castelia carved a few scratches on Bianca's face and hit her, Bianca couldn't stop crying and begging for her life. Castelia and Maddie might kill for a lot of money, but Bianca was lucky that Veronica didn't want to spend more money on her. So, she survived even though she was probably hoping to die.
It wasn't hard to get Bianca to paint her autograph on stamp duty after the pain tormented her face and Castelia left with Maddie afterwards. Always as expected, that woman will contact her mistress and complain. The man goes there and is shocked to find Bianca teary-eyed with blood.
They cleaned all the wounds, but everyone knew the scars wouldn't disappear. The supposedly beautiful mistress turns into an ugly duckling, the end story has clear that she is dumped and the man returns to his wife's house.
Veronica was sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee and a magazine. She knew what happened when her husband left after staring at her in disbelief. He knew it was all Veronica's doing—indirectly through Bianca who confessed that someone forced her to paint her signature on a letter related to the house and Veronica had once threatened him about it.
The man asked his wife not to interfere in his business and Veronica just smiled faintly. Who would have thought that that smile would traumatize him when he saw the woman he likes turn scary.
If the husband is reluctant to speak, Veronica also wants to do the same. Veronica didn't care about being hated, what was clear was that there was no longer a third person among them who had dared to scratch her pride and touch what was hers. Veronica returned to the magazine as her husband violently shut the door from upstairs.
It's always a story like that that Castelia and Maddie find, no b*tch has a happy ending when she meets them both. However, Castelia's facial expression had just changed. All these stories reminded Castelia of what had happened to her.
Castelia had a boyfriend, they had a good relationship and it had been three years before she accidentally found her boyfriend sleeping with another woman. They have been in a relationship for several months. It's sad, but the cuteness tucked away is Maddie's boyfriend made the same mistake and they are best friends.
All beautiful imaginations about getting married and living happily shattered and here they are now, being the woman who hates the most for someone who dares to steal someone else's heart. It felt like they would do much worse to comfort a heart that was still plagued by anger and hatred.
"Cas, it looks like we have a new client," Maddie said, her voice breaking Castelia's thoughts and making her turn. Castelia had just realized that Maddie had been holding her phone for some time, Castelia missed the previous notification sound because she was busy reminiscing about the sickening past.
"From who?" she asked.
Maddie held out her phone screen before answering, "Melody." Most of their clients were from the same school because that's where they promoted themselves, but Castelia wasn't sure she'd heard the name just mentioned. Maddie read a short message on the screen, "Chinese restaurant on XX street at five o'clock tomorrow."
"But we're on vacation," Castelia muttered. They just arrived three hours ago. Do they really have to come back for that client?
Of course! Castelia and Maddie came home the same night in a helicopter charter, something they always do for a buck but what's more fun than a vacation is beating a b*tch. It was five o'clock in the afternoon, Castelia and Maddie arrived on time at the restaurant that the client had notified by text message.
VIP room number two on the third floor, Maddie opened the door to find someone sitting at the only large round table in the centre of the room. A woman with blonde hair, Maddie and Castelia came over to sit in front of her.
The beautiful woman with a small face and sharp nose did not mince words to say immediately, "I need your help and this is very important. You only have one chance."
Castelia and Maddie never knew what a second chance was because they always put one hundred percent into their work. "What's that?" Maddie asked curiously.
Melody said, "I need proof that my husband is having an affair."
What appeared in Castelia's mind was, 'That man must have kept his affair under wraps until Melody came to us without any evidence.' In fact, that's not the case. Castelia and Maddie were struck by the line, "I'm not sure if he had another woman or not because even if he doesn't, I need him to do it."
Castelia and Maddie frowned, staring questioningly in disbelief. Shouldn't Melody be happy if her husband is faithful? But why was she acting like it was such a big deal? No response made Melody explain, "Our parents have agreed to inherit all of their property and make it official in three days. Our parents agreed to write down my husband's name and I didn't want that to happen. I can undo it in a way, he betrayed me. If I can prove that he is unfaithful, then everything will fall to me."
Melody made it clear until Castelia and Maddie no longer had to ask, but there seemed to be a bit of a misunderstanding between them. Castelia explains, "Our job is to keep another woman away from people's husbands and not investigating whether he's had another women or not."
Melody knew that but she was pressed for time because of this sudden news and there was no other way but to ask for help from two women she had often heard from friends. "You'd do anything for money, right?" Melody offered, "If you manage to do what I want, I'll pay you well. One million dollars."
