Luther had to wake up early today, the trip to the demon Territory was going to be a long and important task. He decided he should gather information about the surrounding settlement. Sooner or late he will need to leave the human city and explore the world for himself. Luther left the house and was surprised that Megallan decided he was driving the whole trip.
"What happens to Rover?" Asked Luther, he was just getting used to that human presence.
"I decided he needed a break?" Said Megallan.
"Nah you just wanted to drive the car." Said Luther as he hops into the vehicle. Luna exited the house a couple of minutes later wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt, the white t-shirt had a black and red guitar on the front and back.
"Come on Megallan let's go." Impatiently said Luther as he hung his arm out of the window.
The day started peacefully until he asked Megallan about the woman that call herself his wife. That question shocked Megallan so much he began to lose control of the car.
"Can you please stop talking about her?" Said
Megallan as his body uncontrollably shivers. "That woman has to cause a lot of torment and pain toward me."
"I'm just surprised that anyone would marry a person like you." Said, Luther.
"It was arranged by my father." Megallan aura leaking when he mentions his father.
"What did his family do to him?" Luther whisper to Luna who was staring out the car window.
"Don't know but it can't be worse than a dragon's punishment." Said, Luna.
"Somethings are meant to stay a secret." Said Megallan.
Luther looked at Megallan in confusion, Luther released a sigh as he realized that Megallan must have overheard them. After a minute to think about it would be a surprise that he wasn't at the same level as Chia. It took the group a surprisingly short amount of time to leave human civilization.
"For now on you will have to be on your P&Q, you wouldn't even know what monster kill you if you weren't paying attention." Said Megallan as he press a button on the steering wheel. The car began to brighten and liquefied as the outside of the vehicle transformed. Instead of looking like a classic hummer, the car now was slick, compact, and long. The back bumper turns into a big rocket booster, while the front change into a spike sharp enough to pierce a beast.
"How do you like it?" Asked Megallan, he was staring at Luther with a smug smile.
"It's okay, I've seen better." Said Luther as he rubs his hand on the car interior. "It feels different." Luther thought to himself. If the previous interior felt smooth, this new feeling could only be explained as heavenly by human standers.
"Seen better? Lie's!" Yelled Megallan as he turn to face the road. What Megallan didn't know is that Luther was talking about his transformation, not the car.
An hour later Megallan broke the silence in the car with an interesting question. "How do you dragons gather mana? Do you meditate or have to eat rare herbs?"
This question was on Luther's mind for a while but he didn't feel like asking Luna. Luther turn his head to Luna and she looked at him in shock.
"You don't know?" Asked Luna, her hand now on her head as she rethinks her decision on making him her mate.
"I don't." Said, Luther. Luna let out a sigh and put her hand on his chest.
"Us dragons can passively absorb large amounts of mana in this form. The only time we need to meditate is if we are in dragon form, and went we meditate we get 10 times the normal amount for humans." Said, Luna.
As Luna remove her hands from Luther's chest he Focus his perception on the Energy that was entering his chest, to be more precise it was entering his mana core.
"Great to know! In a couple of miles, there is a checkpoint up ahead." Said Megallan.
"I thought we were already out of the human Territory." Said, Luther.
"No, we left the city we still have a long way until we reach the demon territory." Said Megallan. Luther turn to look out of the window and to his surprise the sun was already going down.
"We been driving for at least 6 hours, and we just left the city," Luther mumbled to himself. "This world is big," Luther stated.
"Yea, it would take someone with my power level a full year to arrive at the demon territory, and that's if they can run nonstop." Said Megallan.
"How strong are you Megallan?" Asked Luna.
"Hahaha, that's something I can't tell no one, if I did I would have to kill them. Hahaha." Said Megallan.
Hearing his response only made Luther more eager to know his power level. "Silly human." Both luna and Luther thought the same thing.
"That's enough talk let's play a game!" Said Megallan.
"NO!" Yelled Luna and Luther simultaneously.
"Come on, just this once." Said Megallan.
"NO!" Both of them yelled.
The rest of the trip before their first stop was surprisingly uneventful. Luther had been staring out of the window and didn't even move his head no matter how much Luna tried to bother him. Luther saw a few beasts eating each other with his dragon vision but besides that, he did see much.
"Wake up nerds, we're here." Said Megallan as he woke Luther up from his daze. "Welcome to Beast cove!" Yelled Megallan.
"Why do they call this place Beast cove?" Asked Luther, Luna was interested too so she listened in.
"Every week they have a beast horde hit this checkpoint. It happen so much that it became a tradition. Many famous families sent their child here to train or learn." Said Megallan as he pull up to the huge gate. The gate stands 15 feet tall and was silver and black. On the top, it was over in orbs and if you pay enough attention to the side of the gate you could see a pile of the dead beasts.
