Jeff stopped an inch from her and just looked at her. "You want him back?" he asked his voice expressionless and she shook her head. What was he even asking?
"Why would you say that?"
Jeff shrugged his eyes distant it was as if they had gone from, they began, his walls up and guided. "I don't know, what is a man supposed to think when he finds his wife who left him angrily in her ex's company. What am I supposed to think of Amy?"
Well, she had taken it to another level but she wasn't cheating on him or anything. She would never especially not with Patrick, she had better tastes. "You should trust me," she said slowly to which Jeff only lifted his face.
"Yeah sure, just as much as you trust me."
He sighed and looked around. "Know what, the bed is yours, I'm going to be at Mike's."
