Did she just see a shooting star? No, that was probably a jet in the night sky. She was trying so hard to ignore the guy beside her and she had every reason to, she convinced herself. Jeff leveled up his game, grabbed her, and spun her so that she fell on his chest. That was unplanned. She remained mute in his hands and he didn't say anything either. Silence reigned for a solid three minutes. "My love, I am sorry," he whispered, his hand sliding into her hair.
Amy inhaled fighting so hard to not agree with him but when he tightened the hug, she could feel his breath and his crazy beating heart. For some reason she got worried, was he that worried and anxious about her or was he sick? "Jeff," she called looking into his eyes imploringly taking a step back.
"Hmm?"
She exhaled audibly. "Why is your heart so loud?" she asked.
