Krista's POV:
"The more I thought about it, the more I felt something was amiss. Yesterday, Serena told me that the young people of the various wolf packs wanted to come out and get to know each other. It would be easier for them to start their work after they took over the packs. That was why I went out with Serena.
However, when I went there, there were only a few unfamiliar young werewolves in the restaurant's private room. There were no future Alpha wolves from other packs that I knew. I wanted to leave, but Serena stopped me. Serena said I was a future Alpha in front of those young werewolves. Those young werewolves welcomed me warmly, making it difficult for me to back down. I could only bite the bullet and sit down in the private room. After that, I didn't know why but I started drinking...
"Sis, you're wrong. It's not that I didn't call you when I went home. You didn't want to leave no matter how much I called you. You even said you wanted to drink to your heart's content with those werewolves. So in the end, I had no choice but to go home alone." Serena looked aggrieved.
B*llshit! I didn't believe a single word Serena said! However, I had no evidence to prove that Serena was the one behind this. Most importantly, I couldn't figure it out... Serena could plot against me, but she couldn't plot with Alpha Charles, an enemy of the pack.
So I could only bury this doubt in my heart for the time being and slowly investigate it. If Serena's trap caused me to lose my virginity, I swear to the Moon Goddess that I will never forgive her!
Half a month later.
As the future Alpha of Blue Moon Pack, I learned daily from my father to deal with the pack's affairs. Werewolves were strong, so it was fine even if they didn't sleep for a few days. However, in the past few days, my physical strength declined rapidly, and I felt dizzy and uncomfortable from time to time. I thought I was tired, so I told my father that I needed to rest for a few days, but he was worried and summoned the pack's doctor.
When the doctor drew blood, my father stood at the side, his light brown eyes filled with worry.
My father was strong and tall, with a serious and rigid personality. As Blue Moon Pack's Alpha, his every move was majestic. "Doctor, how's my daughter?"
The doctor was an old man in his fifties or sixties. He had a long beard and looked quite kind. After hearing my father's question, the doctor stroked his beard and didn't immediately reply. Instead, he turned to ask me, "Miss, has your period come this month?"
"Period?" I was stunned. My period this month... Was late...
My period had always been irregular. Sometimes it was late by two or three days, so I didn't give it much thought. But now, the doctor's question made me panic because I didn't remember if I had used any protection that night.
"Why are you asking this?" My father asked the doctor with a straight face.
"My respected Alpha Abraham, please forgive my lack of medical skills... The young lady's symptoms seem to point to pregnancy... " The doctor said hesitantly.
"Pregnancy? How is this possible? It's impossible!" My father denied it without thinking. In his heart, I was the heir he raised—the most qualified Alpha of Blue Moon Pack. Blue Moon Pack had a rule that underaged Alphas couldn't have sex. My father trusted me, but I seemed to have betrayed his trust.
Seeing my father's anger, the doctor got up in fear. "Yes, yes, yes... My respected Alpha Abraham, you are right..."
My heart was a mess hearing the conversation between my father and the doctor. I could only hope that the Moon Goddess would bless me and ensure I was not pregnant.
Half an hour later, the results of the blood test came out. The doctor's hands were shaking as he held the report. My father could tell that something was wrong. He strode forward and snatched the report. He staggered when he saw the words 'ectopic pregnancy' written on it.
"You can leave first." My father slammed the report on the table. He was talking to the doctor.
After the doctor left, the atmosphere in the room instantly turned cold. My father's light brown eyes were suppressing his anger. "Krista, you've disappointed me! Tell me, whose child is it?"
I looked at the report on the table and saw my future was bleak. I couldn't answer my father's question. I didn't dare to tell him that the child belonged to Alpha Charles of Dark Blood Tribe because that would aggravate the conflict between the two tribes. Blue Moon Pack had yet to recover from the battle twenty years ago and could not withstand another round of battle.
"I'm sorry, Father. I can't... Tell you." I clenched my fists and struggled internally.
