Chapter 17 - The Auction

Krista's POV:

"It has nothing to do with money." I needed money. Raising a child was more expensive than I thought, but I wouldn't earn money in this way. I looked at Raziel and said, "I don't want your money. I still have work to do. Please move aside."

Raziel laughed as if he had heard a joke. Then, he took a step forward and grabbed my chin. He was so strong that I felt like my chin would be crushed.

Raziel's voice was like a demon's whisper as it echoed in my ears. "Isn't your job to serve men well? If it's too little, you can ask for more. I'm in a good mood today, so play with me. Once I'm satisfied, I'll give you as much money as you want." Raziel's hand slowly slid down. As he was about to touch my collarbone, I grabbed his hand and reminded him again, "Sir, my job is a proper one, not what you think. If you insist on doing this, don't blame me for calling security."
