Krista's POV:
I only wanted to live and find a chance to return to Blue Moon Pack to save my father and the people of my Blue Moon Pack. I also wanted to punish Serena for her crimes. All of this had nothing to do with Charles.
After thanking Ryan for his kind intentions, I carried my son into an unfamiliar street. It was still early, and very few people were on the streets. I found a relatively clean bench to sit down on and looked up at the dusky sky.
Although werewolves could heal themselves, Serena's arrow was too heavy. The wolf in me was seriously injured and needed to rest in a deep sleep. I couldn't establish a connection with it in a short time. In other words, if I encountered any danger while the wolf in my body was recuperating, I couldn't rely on my transformation to solve it. I could only rely on myself.
