Osmond was now alone in his room. The lady at the reception had brought him dinner and he had eaten it. It was chicken and mushroom soup, garnished with crushed pepper and mint. There were chunks of potato and carrot also in it.
He lay in his bed with his eyes open. The wind fluttered the yellow curtains and the light flowed from the half moon to inside. He was waiting for Riley.
It was nearly a year since he met Riley. At that time, he was a rude man who didn't care for his feelings. But now, he kind of missed him.
He closed his eyes and went to a light slumber. In his dreams, he saw the last week of the journey with Riley. His green hair and eyes came to his mind. Then suddenly, he was sitting with Channing in the mansion.
"Do you know about the high castes, child?" Channing asked.
Osmond nodded and said that he doesn't know.
"Well, there are four high castes. Caladrius, Centurians, Upus and Samranns. But of these, the Samranns have the least status."
