Derrick and Lucifer exchanged blows upon blows for a good few minutes. They were so fast in landing attacks that one would see nothing but flashing lights from afar. Derrick was quick to counterattack though as he managed to land a couple of solid hits on Lucifer, forcing him back a step. He then charged once more towards his prey, this time managing to land a hit on Lucifer's arm.
Lucifer had been having a tough time with this whole fight, his opponent had been relentless in attacking with the same attack over and over again, he had been getting tired by now, his opponent wasn't showing any sign of fatigue either. All his attempts had failed to make even an inch of progress in the fight. "You're stronger now, impressive." Lucifer said as he dodged one of Derrick's attacks. Derrick only laughed at the remark as he advanced towards Lucifer again. Lucifer felt like he was going crazy with the sheer amount of energy being pumped into every blow. His opponent looked almost like he was glowing when they fought, it seemed like every hit he landed was enough to send sparks flying all around them.
It didn't matter how much Lucifer tried to keep up with Derrick, he couldn't keep up with this pace. He needed a rest, he could feel his eyes beginning to burn. This didn't help his exhaustion and lack of stamina though as soon as his opponent made another hit, Lucifer was sent flying backwards, the world around him began to swirl. A bright yellow light flashed before his eyes as he fell. When he finally got his bearings back, he found himself crashing into two buildings before hitting the ground. "Wow, that was one sure kicker." Lucifer spat out as he stood up. "And I'm just getting started." Derrick said before charging forward again.
"This is no time for games Derrick!" Lucifer yelled as he rushed at Derrick again. This time when Derrick struck Lucifer, he received a right hook in response. Lucifer let out an angry yell before throwing a punch in return, hitting his opponent square in the jaw. It knocked Derrick down to the floor for a moment. When he came back up though, he threw Lucifer back again.
Lucifer stumbled backwards and crashed into a wall, falling to the ground after several tries to get up, it didn't look like he'd be able to make it for a while. He let out a sigh of defeat. "Pfft, what now? Gonna finis-" Lucifer was cut short by a barrage of blows Derrick landed swiftly upon Lucifer's frame. Lucifer winced slightly, he knew these punches weren't going to kill him but he was certainly starting to tire from fighting against someone this strong. Derrick continued beating Lucifer until there was barely anything left of him except some scraps of flesh, bones, and skin. He then stood back up, panting heavily. Lucifer let out a small groan before trying to stand up. When he did this, a burst of pain shot through his body. "Sonuvabitch…"
"Well, well, well. Look at big and strong 'Ruler of the world'." Derrick said as he made air quotes around ruler of the world. He walked over to Lucifer, who laid on the ground completely motionless. He grabbed Lucifer's neck roughly and forced him to look into his attacker's eyes. The last thing Lucifer saw was Derrick's smile before another barrage ensued.
When Derrick finally released Lucifer's face, he collapsed onto his side, unconscious. Derrick took a deep breath before slowly approaching Lucifer. "Heh, looks like you beat me." He said smugly as Derrick kicked him in the ribs, watching his opponent grimace in pain. Derrick smirked before kicking Lucifer again, harder this time, making Lucifer let out a cry of pain. "You lose." Derrick said as he walked away slowly. As he took a few steps he noticed something was amiss. Lucifer wouldn't just go out like that unless there was something wrong somewhere. As he turned around to look at where he left Lucifer's motionless body he was met with a sucker punch so hard it let out a loud bang.
Derrick's head snapped to the right and he saw Lucifer standing up. His arms were raised high above his head before he brought them down on his opponent, leaving two giant dents in Derrick's face. Derrick stumbled backwards, holding his head as Lucifer stalked closer to him. Derrick attempted to swing again but Lucifer easily blocked the attempt. Lucifer lifted his foot up and placed it squarely against Derrick's abdomen causing him to collapse onto his back. Lucifer then picked up his opponent by the neck and held him in the air. "You really thought." Lucifer said as he squeezed the throat even tighter. Derrick choked and spluttered before reaching his hand up to try and pry Lucifer off. When Lucifer dropped his grip from the man's neck, Derrick's hands were clawing at Lucifer's wrists. Lucifer pulled back his hands, letting out a growl as Derrick slumped lifelessly to the ground. "Once I'm through with you, your demon buddies are next, and then... then the angels." Lucifer said as he landed another blow on Derrick's neck causing him to fall to the floor completely once more.
As Lucifer turned around to walk out of the collapsed building, he caught sight of Michael and Raphael standing in the shadows nearby. He smirked and headed towards them. "That's the best you can do brothers? You really should work on your technique." He said as he neared Michael and Raphael. "Enough brother, you've hit the end of your crazed journey." Raphael said as he drew his weapon. "Oh but I'm just getting started." Lucifer said as he cracked his knuckles and pointed his finger at Raphael. "Well then, let's dance." Raphael said as he charged Lucifer alongside Michael and together they attacked him. However, Lucifer effortlessly deflected their combined attacks and delivered many punches. After about ten minutes of brutal fights Lucifer landed punches upon them relentlessly, They found themselves kneeling in defeat. "This will have to do for now I suppose." Lucifer said as he sprouted his wings preparing to fly. "Hey Lucifer!" Derrick yelled from behind, causing Lucifer to stop in his tracks, before he could completely turn around he was met with a large blast of energy which sent him thousands of feet up to the sky.
Derrick kept landing blasts upon blasts until he met up with Lucifer. "You really thought that was the end?" Derrick asked rhetorically as he punched him repeatedly in the chest. Lucifer let out grunt after grunt, before he suddenly pushed Derrick off himself sending him crashing into the ground. With a quick flick of his wrist, Lucifer conjured a fireball. He aimed it at Derrick and prepared to drop it but Derrick caught his hand, causing the fireball to explode in his palm. "Wait, you think you have a chance? How disappointing." Derrick said as he spun Lucifer around before releasing him, sending him crashing hard unto the floor once again. "Now, in respect of payback." Derrick said as he got on Lucifer's back. "Here's this." Derrick said as he tore Lucifer's wings straight out of his back. With a sharp inhale, he threw Lucifer's wings away into the distancee before sending him crashing through a building before stopping, he rolled across the ground and eventually stopped after colliding hard against a brick wall. Lucifer coughed as he struggled to catch his breath. Once he had calmed down he climbed to his feet and faced Derrick. He then extended his arms towards Derrick, as he closed his eyes and concentrated hard, causing the flames from his hands to glow brighter. In an instant Lucifer transformed into an inferno, his clothes quickly catching alight due to the intensity of the flame. Derrick watched as the flames grew larger, the flames began dancing violently around Lucifer's body. "I will not be sent back to that cage!" Lucifer screamed with his voice dripping with venom. Derrick stretched out his hands as the Lance materialised into existence before spinning it as he assumed the Shaolin Bo Staff stance. "You won't be going back there, fortunately." Derrick said as he charged at Lucifer.
The flames around Lucifer were so intense that Derrick would never even know that Lucifer wasn't actually in flames, it was like he didn't exist anymore. It wasn't long however before Lucifer managed to regain control of the fire and directed his attack towards Derrick with a powerful blast of flames. Derrick managed to evade every blast successfully before stabbing Lucifer in the chest with his lance and pushing him away. Lucifer had a shocked expression on his face as he stared at Derrick, then the staff in his chest, then back at Derrick again before he let out a loud scream as red flames erupted from his eyes and mouth. A bright red pillar of light shot out of his body into the sky as the world was covered in a red cloud as Lucifer's roar shook the very earth. After what felt like hours the cloud dispersed, revealing the figure of Lucifer. His form seemed to give a blinking red glow as he fell on his back with the Lance still in his chest. Derrick stood above Lucifer. "Looks like we win." Derrick said proudly.
Lucifer's breathing gradually returned to normal. "What the hell did you do?!" Lucifer yelled as he slowly sat himself upright while he grimaced in pain. "Nothing much, just sent every ounce of power I had into that lance as I stabbed you, sending in the very force of an archangel's grace straight into your body if memory serves correctly." Derrick said as he crouched next to Lucifer. Lucifer reached up and touched the lance in his chest. His fingers came away stained blood, his blood. Lucifer's eyes widened. He turned towards Derrick and shouted angrily. "How could you!?" Lucifer screeched. Derrick sighed. "Oh that's easy, you're a bitch." Derrick said as he looked at Lucifer. "The score has been settled."
Lucifer's eyes fluttered as he coughed up blood before he let out a faint chuckle. "Have fun finding someone that'd become the new big bad." Lucifer said as bright light engulfed his body before his form was reduced to nothing but red splints.
