When you're busy, you have no idea how much time has passed, it just gets you by. So, I went to that Convention as what Neil said and surprisingly, he wasn't there. When NC Apparel's name was called, no one came to the stage to get the plaque. He wasn't returning my calls, too. no, it's not what you think. I was calling him for business references, not for personal matters. I believe that bridge already collapsed.
It was a week after that event. I'm guilty for being too busy that I hadn't had time to visit my boyfriend… wow, that felt good to say, let me say it again… I hadn't had time to visit my boyfriend even just for a few hours. I went on full CEO mode and I couldn't be disturbed. He would send me coffee and some grilled cheese at the office, though. He never forgets… and that's why the guilt was bigger.
