"Tenji..." Maiyu called on softly, her brows creasing as she switched her gaze from him and to Dai.
Dai's eyes screamed for help, thinking this professor had finally lost it. He blew on his slightly overgrown messy bangs parted in the middle of his medium-length black hair that fell on his eyes during the struggle.
'My father will deal with this once I'm released!' He thought with spite.
Tenji had a crooked smile as he could rightly guess what was going on in Dai's mind, after years of research on human interaction and thinking, he couldn't help but test out the theory. "Let me guess, you are relying on daddy to come to the academy and make some trouble tomorrow."
Dai's eyes widened at how accurate that was, but immediately hid his shock and coughed as his air supply was running thin.
"You're going to kill him, I know you wouldn't want that." A female professor interjected as she took a step forward. "There isn't any need to encourage violence."
When Tenji glared in her direction, and immediately she took a step back and kept her peace, this was beyond her jurisdiction.
Tenji tilted his head at an approaching Maiyu and immediately struck a warning, "don't come any closer, let me do my job."
'Do your job? Is having a killing intent one of your skills for the job?' Maiyu's brows twitched in frustration with her sarcastic thought. She could only blame herself for allowing as much familiarity for him to disregard her even with her position.
Nonetheless, there was no way Tenji could react in such a way if something didn't trigger this side of him.
~Break a few bones!~ A smokey voice snickered in Tenji's head.
Shaking off the thought in an instant, he wasted no time in countering before it was left to fester much more gruesome ideas.
Slapping the demerit formation on Dai's chest, he whispered into his ear once again. "While you're at it, think of what you've done, you spoiled brat!"
A green aura outlined Dai's body, freezing him in place, and he was compelled to watch 70% of mana acquisition for his total grade 14 for over a month diminish, exerting upon him a staggering loss of 6 grades in a blink of an eye.
All gathered around could see the temporary decrease in Dai's grade appear for a brief 5 seconds above his head.
[Grade 8'⁶]
Thud!
Once he was let go by Tenji, he felt an overwhelming weakness and his arm which had been twisted by Rumi went numb. He looked down at the ground in horror as his vision blurred.
For a professor to cause such a huge demerit, a decuple amount of grade and more was expected from them to carry it out.
Huff!
Huff!
He took in large gasps of air and forced his black eyes with a unique purple ring on his iris on Tenji, he tried to focus all his hate and fight back on the demerit like he had heard of the rumors but his ability gave a backlash.
Boom!
He was thrown back by his black flames exploding on him and crashed into an array of metal chairs.
His minions had wanted to rush over to check up on him, but the fear instilled in them by the scary nature of this professor made their legs frozen in place.
Tenji dusted his hands and deactivated the formation.
The other students who had been victims of Dai and his minions all cheered on the one professor who had been able to place the demerit, the one person they thought was untouchable because of his family background.
Cross popping veins made their way on Tenji's forehead, this wasn't the reaction he was expecting from them to the situation.
He shoved his hands into his black pants and took long strides towards Dai, walking past Maiyu without sparing a glance.
With each step forward, Dai forced his eyes open and pushed back so he could create an equal distance between them.
"Do you know the unique thing about my demerit formation?!" Tenji sparked up a conversation with a smirk outlining his lips.
He stopped midway so Dai wouldn't push away more chairs obstructing his path.
"The more you try to fight it, it only gets worse. So how do you think that first sneak peek went?" He looked down at Dai and clicked his tongue.
Turning around to Maiyu, he shrugged and gestured for her to take up the responsibility of the student and situation.
'You scheming jerk! Now you leave all the hard work for me!' She spat in disappointment.
Maiyu had heard from the murmurs of the students behind her about what had happened a few minutes before her arrival and she was beyond shocked that this had been overlooked by several other professors who were too scared to give a demerit to the school's largest donator's son.
Maiyu let out a sigh and clapped her hands so she could get everyone's attention. "It has come to my attention that you and your three 'friends' had been bullying other students for some months now. As a mild punishment, you four would be getting a two weeks suspension."
"Two weeks?!" The other three minions chorused in disbelief.
"That is so not fair!" Miku blazed in rage, that time frame could never amount to all the troubles all the others had gone through in their hands.
It just gave them ample time to bounce back and carry on with a transfer of aggression.
Rumi placed a hand on Miku's shoulder and gave a shushing gesture with her index finger.
Speaking in a whisper, she added, "when they do return, we'd kick some rich butt!"
Miku giggled and nodded her head in agreement. It was pleasing to hear someone willing to stand up to the four.
"In addition to the suspension, Dai would use that period to get half of his grade back before he is allowed entry into the academy," Maiyu added as she folded her arms.
Dai let out a yell in rage, "do you think this is over?! This is not the only academy of sorcery and it would be nothing without my father!!"
With a snap of his fingers, Tenji materialized a tape over Dai's mouth, he had just enough of the young lad's blabber. Anymore and he might actually act on the voice snickering in his head.
Maiyu cast a spell on the four students, with a mark of a blue digital clock on their palms signifying the number of days left before they could be allowed in.
As soon as the mark darkened and blended into their skin, they began to disintegrate from their feet, and would be transported to their various homes.
A loud burst of cheer erupted once more after the four had vanished from their midst.
With the clap of her hands in strategic patterns, all knocked-down chairs returned to their places.
Maiyu cleared her throat and announced the commencement of the presentation. "I hope we all get mind blown than the last grand presentation."
Taking a glance at Tenji who had gone to the corner of the hall and placed his hand on a pillar for support.
'I hope you have a good explanation for how you handled this situation?' She couldn't help but suppress her thoughts on what had transpired until after the biweekly event.
