"Huh, will you now?" He whispered to himself. Although it was a whisper, Peter could hear him thanks to his extended, invisible tendril that had its senses activated. Insomniac Peter nodded awkwardly "Uuh, alright, officer, I'll just... let you get back to your work! Don't mind me!"
He walked closer to the giant web that had trapped the car midair. As he inspected it, his lenses widened in wonder "Wow, this is... incredible. This webbing is unlike anything I've ever seen. But... why ARE there other webbings?
Sure, there have been a few imposters in the past, one was just a few months ago, but nobody has ever managed to recreate my webbings. Forget about recreating it, this is an improved version of it! A much improved version."
'Aaand this is why I never talk out loud.' Peter tightened his lips 'You never know who might be spying on you. Inside voices, people, inside voices.'
"And this work... these guys were definitely not taken out by some random guy who was trying to copy me." He looked at what had been trapped in the webbing "...Did another person with spider powers show up? I mean, there's already Miles."
"You changed suits real quick though, I gotta say." The police caught his attention again "What, don't feel comfortable in any other color but the good old red and blue? Hahahaha. That black suit looked awesome too though."
"Black suit?" He questioned. The policeman nodded "Yeah. The all black suit with the white spider mark. You know, the one that you were just wearing a minute ago before you left."
"Uuh, yeah, sure! By the way, which, uh, which direction did I go again? I kinda-" But he was interrupted by a phone call. Well, not a phone call, but a call that was directed to his mask's system.
Peter's tendril got closer to hear as well. It was the voice of a woman. A very attractive voice, at that. "Hey, I need your help. I'll send you the location."
"Felicia? What's going-" But she hung up on him, making him groan "Unbelievable. She expects me to just rush on over." He took a last look at the webbed up car before sighing and saluting the police officer "Sorry, officer, but I gotta jet. Or web, would be the right word. Anyway, see you later!"
And swung away. Peter swung after him, using his tendrils to stay hidden. He snickered as Insomniac Peter exasperated "And here I am, rushing on over."
As they swung, Peter licked his teeth 'First, the powers from the spider venom, then this universe's blood. Two set of powers in the same night. I'm staying true to my role as a power hunter, huh? Heh, Vergil would be proud.'
But his eyes widened as Peter answered a call from another person, and only then did he remember that Peter wasn't the only Spider-Man around 'Oooh, that's right! Miles is here too! I should get his powers too!
Wait, I have spider powers, sure, but I don't have Miles' version of spider powers. Does that mean I have to eat him? I hope not. That would make things complicated. Wait, what if I find the super spider that bit him instead?!
If I find the spider, I can eat it to get its powers, then I would just need Miles' blood instead of his entire corpse! Hah, I'm a genius! But the problem is... is the spider still around?
Miles killed the spider at the end of the main game. And several months have passed since then. The spider is probably completely gone now. No, wait! The corpse of the spider that bit Peter remained intact for a long time.
Long enough for it to be eaten by another one of Peter's bullies who became Thousand afterwards, at least. I can only hope to be lucky. But will I get Thousand's powers too? That would be cool too, actually.'
After a while, Insomniac Spider-Man finally arrived at his destination. He landed next to the most gorgeous woman Peter had ever seen, and Peter had to make an effort to stop himself from drooling. That amazing figure in that tight suit, that gorgeous face barely hidden, it was all enough to make his jaw drop.
"Alright. Time to have some fun!" Jumping away from the building he was sticking to spy on them, he shot to webs past Insomniac Peter's sides, making his eyes widen "Felicia, watch out-"
But before he could warn her, Peter had kneed him in the chest. Not too roughly though. Definitely not harsh enough to break anything. Just enough to make it hurt a bit as they went rolling back before stopping with Peter on top of his counterpart.
(A/N: While he is with other Peters, to avoid confusion and repetition of the same name since it's annoying, he'll be called Blasphemy, his Symbiote and actual name.)
"Hey~, Spider. How you doing?" He smiled, and although it was covered by his mask, it could be heard in his voice. "What in the-" Peter's eyes widened as he tried to push him away, but Blasphemy grabbed his wrists and easily pinned them to the ground "Sshhh, calm down. I'm not going to hurt you."
Although his Spider-Sense went off, he didn't dodge the kick that Black Cat delivered to his head. She frowned, not taking her foot off of his head "You've got one hard head."
"Geez, calm down, you two. Look, I'll let you go." He gently let go of Peter and raised his hand in truce "I'm not an enemy."
Peter stared at him before talking "Then can you get off of me? This is kinda a really awkward position."
Blasphemy laughed at his tone and stood up as Black Cat stepped back "Sure, sure. No homo." And extended his hand for Peter to take. He hesitated before taking his hand and raising himself up.
"So who are you? You don't seem like my average fan."
"Fan." He laughed softly again "No, that's not exactly the case. I mean, yeah, I'm a fan, but that's not the point here, Peter Parker."
It was subtle, but he noticed the way both of them twitched. Peter tried to act unaffected "Peter Parker? I-I don't know who-"
But Blasphemy rolled his eyes, shaking his head along with it dramatically "Look, don't try that with me, alright? I already know all about you being Peter Parker, about Aunt May, about Miles, and so on and so forth."
Peter immediately put his guard up. And seeing his reaction, although it was subtle, Felicia got ready to fight as well. His lenses closed up slightly "Who are you?"
'God, aggressive Peter Parker is so damn cool.'
"Who am I?" He smiled. As he took off his mask, he took out his ID card. Peter's eyes widened at the ID card and Blasphemy raised his hand for him to shake "My name is Peter Parker, Spider-Man of another universe. It's a pleasure to meet the me from another universe."
"..." They both froze, before Peter got his bearings "YOU'RE WHAT?!"
"I'm you, from another universe. We are variations of each other."
"So you're saying you're from another universe?"
"Yup."
Felicia "Is that even possible?"
Peter "Well... I find it hard to believe."
Blasphemy "Oh, come on. We have superheroes, supervillains, alien invasions and world ending threats every other day. So are alternative universes existing really that hard to believe?"
Peter "...He has a point there."
Felicia "You're accepting this really easily, Spidey."
"Meeting an alternative version of me wouldn't be the weirdest thing that has happened to me."
"Yeah, but still. What if he just wants to fool you after finding out your identity and a few basic things about you?"
"That... is a possibility too..."
Blasphemy deadpanned "If I had any malicious intent, why would I reveal myself instead of hiding in the shadows? Heck, I could even kill him just now. Haaah, you know what? Let me make this easier."
Peter looked at him in confusion, but the next second, his eyes widened in shock as his Spider-Sense went off. But not in danger, but as if informing him of something. Informing him that he was a kin.
"You... you are like me." He said in disbelief. Blasphemy smiled and extended his hand again "Not like you, just you. Pleasure to meet you, again."
This time, after a moment of hesitation, Peter did shake his hand. Felicia raised an eyebrow "Spidey? You sure he's telling the truth?"
"Y-yeah. I can't explain exactly how, but... it's like my powers are telling me that he's trustworthy. My Spider-Sense has never acted like this."
"Glad that trick worked then. Convincing you that I'm an alternative version of you from another universe would be really annoying. But glad that did the trick. Again, nice to meet you, I'm Peter Parker."
He gave Peter's hand a firm shake before extending his hand to Felicia "Nice to meet you too, miss."
She stared at his hand, before glancing at Peter. When she saw him nod, she finally shook his hand as well "Nice to meet you too, Peter. I'm Felicia, also known as Black Cat. An old... acquaintance of this universe's Peter."
"Uh huh..." He raised an eyebrow at her smirk. Glancing between her and Peter who coughed awkwardly, he smirked "Pretty close acquaintances from the looks of it."
She laughed in amusement as Peter sighed and probably rolled his eyes. He couldn't see it with the mask on. Felicia smiled "I guess the joking personality is in every universe, huh? You look really young though. How old are you? And come to think of it, you don't look a lot like Peter. What's up with that?"
"Just because we're the same person doesn't mean we're the exact same. Different variants could look the same, or not look anything like one another at all, or have different personalities, and so on. That's why it's called alternative universes. As for me, both my looks and personality differ from most universes. Oh, and I'm 17."
"Aww, there goes my luck." She sighed teasingly before laughing as Peter sighed. But he seemed to realize something "Wait, if you're an alternative version of me... was that your work from before? You know, the webbed up Maggia car?"
"Yeah, that was me. I thought that since I'm already here, I might as well help out a bit."
"So that was you! I mean, yeah, the suit checks out with what the officer described too. But how did you make such strong webbing? I've been at this for years, but even I've never managed to make one as strong as that!"
Felicia chuckled at how he was geeking out, but she could understand. After all, he had never been able to talk about his powers to anybody. And with how he was a nerd by nature, it was natural he wanted to discuss his ideas.
"Aah, I guess you're one of the Peters who need to make their own webs." Blasphemy smiled in pity. Peter grew confused "What? What does that mean?"
"It means this." He rolled up his sleeve, revealing that there was nothing underneath. Peter's confusion grew before his eyes widened in shock as a web was shot from a very small hole in his wrist.
"What?! How?" His jaw fell open. Blasphemy smiled smugly "Organic webbing. It's one of my superpowers. Pretty cool, right?"
"Yeah, pretty cool." Peter said in awe, before he sighed "And pretty convenient too. Not only is running out of webs very annoying, making them isn't exactly cheap either. You basically don't need to worry about those problems."
"Yes, I don't." He smiled smugly, rolling down his sleeves. Peter looked like he wanted to continue talking, but Felicia put her hand on his shoulder "Spider, don't forget, we still have a job to do."
"Oh, right, sorry." He apologized awkwardly, completely forgetting the weight of what was happening with Felicia. He turned to Blasphemy "Sorry, uhh... Peter, I'd like to continue, but something really important is going on. We can talk later, if you'd like."
