" What made you think I know the princess where about?" commander Lucifer inquired as he glared at Prince Junfeng whose hands were chained behind him. He was on his knees as commander Lucifer sat opposite him. They were facing each ready as they were about to embark on a discussion.
" You and I know that we aren't children to keep deceiving ourselves this long." Prince Junfeng spoke with a chuckle.
Commander Lucifer stared him in the eyes and said," yes, we are no longer children. But then I don't know what you are talking about. How are we deceiving ourselves?" he asked confused and prince Junfeng shook his head in disappointment.
Prince Junfeng was wondering if commander Lucifer was trying to pretend as if he knows nothing about himself. What he can do and what he can't do. But he wasn't sure if commander Lucifer could allow princess Chu Hua to go through this pain without helping her.
He knew how much they love each other…
" You never lack to amaze me," prince Junfeng muttered mockingly.
" And what does that supposed to mean?" commander Lucifer asked.
" Nothing."
" See!" commander Lucifer said sharply," it is unclear to me why you want to accuse me of knowing the princess where about, but let me tell you this. You are nothing but a disgrace to humanity.
I don't why I was asked to spare your life, but be mindful of what you say to me, or I will cut off your tongue. I never wanted to show you mercy in the first place. Take this as a warning and try not to cross your boundaries."
Commander Lucifer warned. But instead of prince Junfeng being afraid, he was teasingly smiling at commander Lucifer with boldness.
" Since the very day you spared my life, the fear of death left my life. Because I know that no one would raise his sword against me as long as I'm in this kingdom." he teasingly responded and then gave hearted laughter, which aroused commander Lucifer's anger.
Although it was the bitter truth because commander Lucifer wasn't ready to kill him because he thought prince Junfeng would be of great help some days. But prince Junfeng was using this advantage to annoy him, and he got fade out of it.
" Take this beast out of my sight!"
Commander Lucifer ordered the guard standing beside prince Junfeng. Before they could lay their fingers on prince Junfeng, another guard stepped into his room and bowed before commander Lucifer and said," Sir, His Majesty wants to see you immediately."
Commander Lucifer became jittery after hearing this. " Who in particular?" he asked, thinking that it was king Qiangsheng if probably he sighted him, and received some rumors about him and his daughter.
On the other hand, he was afraid that it was king Cheng who demanded his presence concerning the princess. His ears were itching to hear the king's name.
" King Cheng, sir." the guard announced with his face still bowing down.
Commander Lucifer froze for a few seconds before letting out a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, prince Junfeng wasn't taken away yet.
" You are afraid, aren't you?" Prince Junfeng mocked him and commander Lucifer landed him a hot slap which made prince Junfeng cough out particles of blood.
" Keep your mouth shut, you coward." he spat out in anger as he stood on his feet. Price Junfeng raised his head and said," Do whatever you want with me, but be ready to answer the king's question." He spoke with gritted teeth as his mouth was stained with blood.
" Take him out of this place before I pour my anger on you now," he commanded the guards who were holding prince Junfeng's arms.
With haste, they took him out of the room and commander Lucifer followed the guard that was sent to call him.
" You demanded my presence, Your Majesty," commander Lucifer spoke, bowing down with one knee on the ground.
" Where's the princess?" king Cheng asked as he patiently waited for his response.
" I… she…" commander Lucifer became confused and lack what to say.
" She what?" king Cheng curiously asked, but the young man before him remained dumbfounded.
" I trusted you enough that I took you like a son, which made me entrust my daughter into your care, but all I get from you is a disappointment. Trusting you was a mistake." King Cheng spat out every word with anger and anxiety.
On hearing that, commander Lucifer felt like he was stabbed with a knife in the belly. 'It's better to be killed than receive insults from his king.'
" Forgive me, Your Majesty. I never knew it would result in this. I accept my mistake, but I promise you that such a thing won't happen once the princess is brought back." he pleaded in regret.
" Forgiveness? No, I can't forgive you until I see my daughter with my very eyes. Apart from that, nothing would make me forgive you. Nothing…" king Cheng poured out his anger on commander Lucifer.
' I regret bringing up that plan. I should have brought her to the kingdom by myself. Now, this is the result of not thinking twice before acting.' commander Lucifer cried inwardly.
" Your Majesty, I promise to bring back Her Highness in good health. That's a promise that I must fulfill, and nothing can stop that." He rose to his feet and placed one palm on his chest and made a promise to king Cheng in presence of everyone present in the king's court at that moment.
" Action speaks louder than words. You know what that means and that's what I want to see." king Cheng said with a smirk on his face.
" As you wish, Your Majesty," commander Lucifer affirmed to it and gently bowed down before taking his leave.
" Inform commander Yufei to assemble his warriors. It's time to see true warriors who are ready to die for their kingdom. Do this with haste. Time is not on our side." commander Lucifer sent one of the bodyguards who were standing at the court entrance.
" Yes, sir." He responded and disappeared with speed to deliver the message.
All these while Princess Xiang locked herself in her room to cry out her heart for being rejected by commander Lucifer. She was in great after this happened, and it kept playing with her memory as that moment continuously appearing in her mind.
The best plan she has in mind was killed Princess Chu Hua if by any chance gets rescued from her unknown location. Although they don't know each other, but she was angry at Princess Chu Hua just because of commander Lucifer.
" Your Majesty, the princess locked herself in her room, and she has been crying since morning."
Princess Xiang's handmaid reported to her father, king Qiangsheng, and he had a smirk on his face.
" Why?" he inquired.
" I can't tell Your Majesty. The only thing I know is that they had a conversation with commander Lucifer, and since then, she has been in her room."
" A conversation? About what? And where." he curiously as he furrowed his brows.
" I don't know what they discussed. But they had the conversation in her room." the maiden explained.
" Her room?" king Qiangsheng was shocked, and he said," Tell commander Lucifer that I want to see him in the princess' chamber as soon as possible."
He ordered before climbing down his throne…
