One day, everyone must die and face the afterlife, but since the mermaids lost lots of their colleagues in their first patrol, they became scared and weak.
They weren't ready to die like the others. And for that reason, most of the mermaids were afraid to go out.
Nevertheless, they can't stand against their leader's order, as they must obey what she says.
Although the Princess doesn't want to go either, she just has to because only facing and conquering their enemies is what would free her from this bondage or the current situation she found herself in.
" This would be the last day I would step my feet out of this kingdom. I have been fearlessly walking around this ocean without resting, yet we see no sign of the so-called creature you all are talking about. Is this how we would be patrolling until flea is nowhere to be found in my body? Huh? Why was I brought to this place in the first place?" Princess Chu Hua raged in anger as she faced queen Andarta who was sitting on her throne.
" Ohh, little one, I see no reason for blaming me for whatsoever situation you found yourself in. It isn't my fault," Queen Andarta responded with a calm and caring voice.
" Who then should I blame?" she inquired as she crossed her arms over her chest.
" Yourself. Yes, blame yourself…"
" And why should I blame myself?"
" Because you weren't supposed to be here, but you were blinded with love, and you let it rule over you that you so much trusted that young man, which resulted in receiving that sword from him." Queen Andarta explained.
" What should I have done? If you were in my shoes, you would have done the same. Stop blaming me because I never knew that I would end up in a world different from mine." Princess Chu Hua sniffed with a disappointed look on her face.
" Well… you have to bear the consequences of your action before he comes for your rescue." Queen Andarta responded and said," Hey! Don't dare start hating him for what happened."
" I never said so," Princess Chu Hua snapped.
" You seem to easily forget things. Keep in mind that someone like me reads your mind and I know what you are thinking about that young man right now." Queen Andarta reminded her, and she paused for a few seconds and stopped thinking about anything.
" But this isn't good of you. Why should you be reading someone's mind? Don't you think it's unacceptable?" Princess Chu Hua inquired and Queen Andarta smiled at her and replied," This is how we were created by the supreme God. Who are we to reject such a wonderful gift? Won't you gladly receive it if you were opportune?"
" No, I won't. As a matter of fact, my trust for you is fading away, and I don't think I can ever regain it. This is unfair of you to keep me here without freedom." Princess Chu Hua complained as she turned around and gave queen Andarta her backside.
" And what freedom are you talking about? You aren't caged nor enslaved, and you aren't handcuffed. No one stops you from going wherever you want to go. So, why complain?" Queen Andarta asked, even when she knew what Princess Chu Hua meant.
Freedom to go back to her people is what she was talking about and nothing more. If only she can be freed and let go of her, then her wish is accomplished.
" I…" princess Chu Hua wanted to reply to Queen Andarta, but a loud and curious voice echoed from the door. It was as if someone were after the person or the person was in danger, and she was coming to report.
Queen Andarta immediately stood up from her throne as she was ready to fight and defend her people from whatever was coming against them. Likewise, every other mermaid drew out their weapons as they awaited the messenger to arrive.
On the order hand, Princess Chu Hua stood still without reacting. All she needed was to go back home. She wasn't afraid of what was coming to attack them because she saw no difference between being killed and living with these boring mermaids.
However, Dishi was inside the underground house taking a rest from the tiring patrol they went to.
" Queen's mother," Daiyu, who was the athletic leader of the guard mermaids, called out and bowed before Queen Andarta and said," Humans are on the ocean with their numerous boats looking for the princess." She explained what she saw when she went out to have some fun. She was a courageous mermaid who never waits for permission to do something right and beneficial to everyone.
On hearing this, there was a visible smile on Princess Chu Hua's face.
' At least I have hope that I will be leaving this place in not less than a day. I'm not concerned about whom they want to fight.' she happily muttered inside.
" No," Queen Andarta interrupted her and thought. " The person who is going to save you is not here."
" What do you mean by he isn't here?" Princess Chu Hua curiously asked.
" Because he isn't meant to come through a boat. He might lose his life in the process of doing that." Queen Andarta answered.
" Why are you suffering him like this? What has he done to deserve this?" Princess Chu Hua grieved.
" Don't forget, I wasn't the one who chose him, rather it was the sword that chose him. So don't blame me for anything. I'm only telling you the mystery behind it and nothing more. You are forcing me to talk much, but the truth is the powers he carried are too heavy for a boat to carry him." Queen Andarta enlightened Princess Chu Hua, and she laughed out loud as she wondered how a boat can't contain someone like commander Lucifer.
" Now it's clear that you have been lying all this while because you don't know what you're talking about. How can a boat not carry someone who rides a horse?" she asked with a smirk.
" Because that's land and this is an ocean where Cthulhu exists. See, there are many things you don't know about the young man you claim to love. Just wait and watch." Queen Andarta informed and Princess Chu Hua remained silent, and she began to wonder what's so special about commander Lucifer that she knows nothing about.
But she would have to patiently wait for his arrival. She had been longing to see him and tell him she loves him once more.
Although she also missed her father a lot, if not for anything, she missed commander Lucifer more than any other person she could remember from her kingdom.
