Chapter 35 - BATTLE WITHIN THE BONE TOWER

Erick returned the smile, then delivered a swift headbutt that knocked her out. As she fell to the floor, he gently laid her down, his expression sombre. "It's up to you now, Guion," he murmured quietly. In a different part of the conflict, Guion found himself helplessly battered by Julius. Suspended in the air, Guion was at the mercy of Julius's relentless assault. Julius's speed and control were overwhelming; Guion could do nothing but endure the blows.

Julius struck him from every direction, his speed so extreme that Guion's regenerative abilities couldn't keep pace. Each wound was inflicted faster than Guion could heal, leaving him covered in bruises. Julius's acceleration made it clear that he understood the need to outpace Guion's healing.

Despite the relentless abuse, Guion's Overwhelm ability granted him a crucial edge. As Julius prepared for a killing blow, Guion sensed the attack coming and faced upward. He unleashed a violent sound blast, a forceful scream that sent Julius crashing back to the ground and scattered the clouds above.

Julius stabilized himself and pushed off toward the ground, but Guion anticipated his move. He summoned sharp, long bones that erupted from the ground in a continuous barrage. Julius, now flying outside the city, was met with a relentless assault of these deadly projectiles. As he reached the outskirts, the bone attacks ceased. Guion quickly enveloped himself in a destructive telekinetic wind and surged forward with double the speed.

Julius, sensing Guion's attack, raised his hand, and the entire city was covered by the same flying bones, save for the white house. Despite Guion's extensive range, his attacks proved ineffective; the bones were shredded into fragments as they neared Julius. When Julius finally closed in on Guion, Guion braced himself, extending his right elbow with a bone protruding from it. As Julius attempted to use his telekinetic shield to destroy Guion's skull, Guion dodged the assault and swung his elbow, slicing through Julius's right wing.

The loss of a wing threw Julius off balance momentarily. Yet, he managed to flip and reorient himself before touching the ground. Using his remaining strength, he propelled himself back toward Guion, fists clenched for a powerful punch. But Guion was quicker. He met Julius's attack with a firm palm, causing their descent to accelerate.

Julius struggled to escape Guion's grip, which was too strong for him to break free. As they sank into the earth, Guion maintained his hold, pulling Julius closer and wrapping his arms around his back, immobilizing his wings and forcing them downward.

Inside Guion's domain, Julius was helpless. He could neither move nor fly, leaving him at Guion's mercy. Guion unleashed a brutal assault, landing punches and scratches with ruthless efficiency. Despite Julius's regeneration, Guion's relentless attack proved overwhelming. When Julius's wing fully regenerated, he managed to create a telekinetic shield to protect himself and escape, but Guion was quick to react.

Guion used a long, serpentine bone to grab Julius's foot. Spinning him around, he tried to slam him into the ground, but Julius fought back, struggling to free his leg from the serpent's grasp. When the serpent's bite finally released him, Julius smashed the ground in frustration. Levitating upward, he generated a cataclysmic ball of wind pressure, aiming to obliterate Guion from above.

As the ball descended, Guion dove headfirst into it, using his indestructible skull to pass through the energy and deliver a powerful punch to Julius's left cheek. The force of the punch sent Julius reeling, his flight unsteady as he struggled to regain control. He crashed to the ground but quickly resumed his assault, heading back toward Guion with renewed vigour.

Desperate to turn the tide, Julius grabbed Guion by the neck, preventing him from screaming. But Guion, aware of his disadvantage, pulled Julius close and wrapped his arms around him, pinning his wings and bringing them down once more. This enhanced and extended version maintains the intensity and dramatic tension while giving more depth to the characters' struggles.

When they hit the ground, they rolled over each other, each trying to gain the upper hand. Eventually, Julius broke free and aimed a punch at Guion's face, but Guion sank into the ground, causing Julius to hit the earth instead. A moment later, Guion popped up behind him and stomped on his back, smashing him flat onto the ground.

He grabbed Julius by the neck and hurled him backward. However, Julius altered his trajectory mid-air and flew upward, but his escape was cut short as Guion grabbed his tail, yanking him back and landing a powerful punch to his face. The force of the punch blasted Julius backward, but he managed to control his fall, avoiding a crash and flying back up. As he did, Guion observed him with a calm, calculating gaze.

Suddenly, towering bones began to rise from the ground, forming a massive barrier along the perimeter of the entire city and extending high into the sky, piercing the clouds and continuing to grow. Despite being airborne, Julius found himself still within Guion's range.

The sky itself became a hostile space as he experienced first hand the brutal power that had once vanquished Fear. "Try to run this," Guion taunted, placing his right hand on one of the towering bone structures.

In the blink of an eye, Guion was right next to Julius, delivering a bone-shattering punch that sent him hurtling through the air. Guion's speed had become unimaginably high as he used the bones as a medium for transportation. The bones, nearly as hard as Guion's indestructible skull, did not break despite the repeated impact of Julius being smashed into them.

Desperate to escape, Julius darted through the labyrinth of bone towers, but Guion pursued him relentlessly, appearing on the bones like a lizard while preying on him with the ferocity of a lion.

Julius decided to strike back, hoping to give Guion the beating of his life. To Guion, all he had to do was teleport from one bone to another and land blows on Julius. He began attacking with extreme ferocity, delivering powerful punches and slamming Julius into the bone towers repeatedly. But Julius, despite the onslaught, continued to attempt his escape, his mind working furiously to find a weakness.

What Guion failed to predict was that Julius had been studying his every move. After a while, Julius understood that he needed to prevent Guion from touching the bones. Soon after, Guion struck again, thinking Julius's back was exposed, but it was a trap. Julius dodged the attack, and Guion, moving too fast to stop, hurtled toward another tower.

Julius grabbed his leg, pulling him into the open space above the White House. The bones surrounded the White House, but none grew within it, as Guion had created a safe zone to protect Erick.
