"You still didn't understand. Haha," Devin said and began to laugh.
"Well, my friend, the thing I want to tell you is that we need to move that big stone from that place. If we can move that big stone from that place, you will understand why I am telling you this," Devin said and went toward the rock.
I also went toward that rock. I don't know why he is saying all of this, but I trust you.
" Okay, let's try to push that rock," Devin said. I just nodded, hearing him. We both begin to push that big rock. At first, I thought that we wouldn't be able to move that rock from his place. But when we begin to push that rock, I can see that it begins to move from his place.
Sometime later,
Finally, we were able to move that big rock from his place. I was now panting. You can say that it takes all of my strength to move that big rock. But the thing I discovered after moving to the rock made me very excited and I finally was able to understand what Devin wanted to tell me.
After moving that rock, we saw a big hole in the ground. This wasn't your normal hole because I can see stairs in that hole. The stairs lead you underground.
"Haha, finally we are able to discover the entrance of the Treasure," Devin said.
"But Devin, on the map we saw that cave and the X mark on that cave. But I still don't understand that the map showed that cave and now we found such a hole here. That cave should be the real entrance." I asked Devin.
"Haha, I told you King Alexander was a clever man. He did show that cave on the map, but it wasn't the actual entrance. I also think that anyone trying to go through that cave would be in real danger. He has shown that cave on the map because this secret passage is hidden next to this cave." he told me.
"How did you know these things? The map didn't say these things." I asked Devin.
"Haha, that's a hilarious thing. That's why I said that King Alexander was a very clever man. He knew that after he died, anyone who saw that map could come here in search of his treasure. So he did not directly give the address of his secret path, he gave the address of that cave. The entrance to his original secret passage was next to this cave and below this large rock. You must remember that a few days ago, I sat down with some old writings. I stuck to finding their meaning. I finally understood the meaning of those writings and from there I got the address of this secret path. King Alexander did not mention the exact location of the treasure on his map, he only showed this cave. But then he wrote on the big map that we saw in his villa. You must remember that we saw a map in the king's room. On that map, these writings were very small. Nobody could easily see those writings. But luckily the writing caught my eye." Devin explained to me how he came to know these things.
I was stunned for a moment. No one could have dreamed that the king had not fully disclosed the address of his treasure on that map. Fortunately, Devin sees those texts and we can discover this path.
After resting for a while, it's time to go down the stairs. Devin made three torches of fire. Because I see the hole is completely dark. We can see nothing in that darkness. You won't know when you're in danger if you walk in the dark. With a sword in one hand and a torch of fire in the other, we started our journey.
All around is darkness. One can say it is like a cave. Many insects have built their nests around the area because of the lack of human traffic for a long time. The road was full of cobwebs. We have moved on from this. We can see as far as the light of the torch falls. There's no telling how far down we have to go or where the ladder ends. The insects around seem to be scared of people and fire after a long time. They keep making noise.
You can say we crossed about 100 steps and finally we came to the flat ground. From here, I can already see two paths going in both directions. Now I didn't know which way to go, so I looked at Devin. I also see him inspecting around. We can't see much because of the surrounding darkness. After looking around for a while, Devin suddenly said that we should take the path to the right. It seems that in those writings; it was also written in which direction we need to move. We are moving forward after crossing the spider's web again. This tunnel is clearly man-made. The king must have built it to hide his treasure.
After a while, Devin suddenly asked us to stop. I went to ask what happened when he pointed his fingers to the front. I held the torch well and tried to see ahead. I saw that there was a hole in the front. If you try to go over those holes without seeing them in the dark, you can easily fall into them. And no one can tell if you fall into those holes and survive. We carefully avoided those pits and proceeded. I looked into those holes once, but I could see nothing but darkness. No one can tell how deep those holes are.
I've read in many storybooks that while going through a tunnel, a man accidentally steps on a secret switch and is immediately shot at by arrows. I don't know if this tunnel has the same arrangement, so I step onto the ground carefully. I'm not the only one watching Uncle Steven and Deven step very carefully. We don't know what trap the king made in this cave to protect his treasure.
