Valentine's plan had come to its crescendo. It was finally time to get his hands on some sweet revenge.
"Strength. Haste. Silent step." Valentine cast three spells one after the other on himself and though he might have looked the exact same, he was far from that.
Valentine followed Dennis quickly yet carefully. It wasn't long before he caught up. They were about to get back in the cafe but Valentine wouldn't let them get away that easily. He was the predator, not them.
"Flash ball" he whispered, a small marble sized ball appearing in his hand. He put it on top of his thumb as one would to flip a coin and he shot it towards Dennis and his bodyguards.
When the ball was in the middle of the group, Valentine closed his hand and at that very moment the small ball erupted in a flash of light. In the few seconds time he was given from the spell he rushed in, hoisted Dennis on his shoulder and ran.
Dennis tried to get off his captor's grasp yet was unable to. He couldn't recognize Valentine but was unaware as to why he couldn't escape, given his naturally monstrous strength.
Dennis tried to scream for help but as soon as he made a sound his mouth was covered by the captors' other hand, restricting his ability to speak.
Valentine brought Dennis to a predetermined spot that he found during his stakeout. It was a worn out building that had been ravaged by time and vandalized by children. Though that was no problem to Valentine. He wanted a place where he could torture the one that made his life miserable without worry.
"Brain fog." Valentine said, as he threw Dennis on the wooden floor of the house.
Dennis seemed a bit confused but pulled himself back together quickly. He was in a dusty old house, prone and being stared down by the one he had bullied for years yet he did not seem bothered.
"Valentine you fuck. What do you think you're doing huh?" Dennis said, trying to stand up.
Dennis knew he had power over Valentine. Mere words from him made that pathetic bastard treble. Yet what came after both surprised and scared Dennis to the core.
Valentine delivered a powerful slap at Dennis with inhuman strength. An average person would have been knocked out immediately by such a strike but Valentine wouldn't let Dennis get out of his payback as easily.
"Shut. The. Fuck. Up." Valentine said, kicking Dennis in the stomach, feeling one of his rips give out.
Dennis let out a scream of pain yet his eyes were as filled with rage and confidence as before.
"I am your fucking god now. Got it?" Valentine shouted
"Fuck you. My bodyguards will be here any moment now so stop playing games." Dennis replied, spitting on Valentine.
"Tsk. You never learn. Burning hand." Valentine said, his hand bursting into flames.
"W-"
"Silence" Valentine cast another spell, causing Dennis to lose his ability to make sound.
Dennis tried his best to shout or scream but it was all in vain. He wasn't the predator anymore.
"You can't talk now can you? How does it feel for YOU to be the one that's powerless?"
Valentine pretended to wait for an answer. He slowly ran his flaming finger across Dennis's right cheek, scorching it slowly and painfully. Dennis thrashed away, he moved in all fours desperately to get away from Valentine but it wasn't enough.
Valentine grabbed Dennis from the ankle and yanked him back, causing his clothes to catch on fire. Valentine then sighed loudly and grabbed Dennis by the face.
"Restraint. Now you can't move either. How do you like that you piece of shit?" Valentine said, casting yet another spell on Dennis, who could do no more than look as his own flesh was being burned.
"Do you feel this? Huh? Do you feel the pathetic feeling of powerlessness overcome you? The feeling of being targeted by someone you can't match even in your wildest dreams. That feeling. Learn it well." Valentine said, stopping the burning hand, though that did not stop Dennis's clothes from continuing to burn him alive slowly.
"And don't think you'll be able to take revenge either. I'll keep you alive but guess what? You'll forget this ever happened and then be handed over to someone who was willing to pay well for you. I wouldn't wait for this to be over in your shoes." Valentine continued
He stood up and started pacing around Dennis slowly. He decided to take the opportunity to abuse his prey while also training. He silent cast Magic missile multiple times, each time with a seemingly random delay between each shot. He didn't aim to hit Dennis yet sometimes he did, be it by accident or not.
"You might think I have gone mad. And who can blame you? I killed a man you know. I didn't even think about it twice. I didn't feel any guilt. He might have tried to kill me first but I should have still felt guilty. I didn't. Whose fault do you think that is?" Valentine lashed out.
"IT'S YOURS. It's your fault. If you hadn't treated me like that, that bastard Sean wouldn't have used magic on me which in turn wouldn't have caused my pain. That then caused me to get kidnapped by the equivalent of the damn magic mafia. SOME OF WHOM WANT ME DEAD FOR NO APPARENT REASON BY THE WAY." He continued.
"You know what? Fuck it. I'm doing one more thing and calling for someone to get you. Let me put that fire out. Downpoor" Valentine said in a much calmer way, putting his hand over Dennis.
A powerful jet of water came out of Valentine's hand. It hit Dennis like a sledgehammer, playing a part in shattering a few of his bones while also taking out the fire.
"Very well, very well. Now time for my thing." Valentine said.
He jumped on Dennis and started punching his right arm repeatedly. He could feel Dennis's bones giving out from the force of his strikes yet he did not stop. He moved up to the shoulder and then down to the hand, making sure to come as close to pulverizing it as possible.
"Phew, that felt nice." Valentine said.
Dennis had passed out halfway through and had even soiled himself but Valentine paid him no mind. He simple grabbed his phone and called John again.
"Hey, job is done. Had some of my own fun as well. Come and get the goods. I'm at 123 X street in the run down building." Valentine said.
"Good, I'll send a car over asap." John replied.
"No, no, no. We are NOT doing this again. Unless either Jack or Danny are there as well I'm not doing this." Valentine stated.
"Don't be a crybaby. I cleared the weeds out personally. You're strong enough to survive an attack anyways." John replied.
"I won't be lucky a second time, John. Your guys are at least fourth circle. That's a big difference." Valentine insisted.
"You are questioning my authority right now. I'm sending a car over. You better comply." John said, hanging up the phone.
