"Daddy, I'm sorry, "
I'm currently seated with a book in hand as I tried to divert my mind away from all the nonsense that's been happening around me lately. Delilah entered the library with a book hugged tightly to her chest as she implored me to forgive her.
It's been five days since we left Soda Ash City, such was the same amount of time all three girls had been grounded.
They've been prohibited from sleeping in my room.
Even Deena didn't know how to react to my current display of annoyance and to prevent any awkwardness between us, she decided to sleep in her room even though I had informed her in the hotel beforehand of my desire to have her sleep with me and the girls.
I guessed since she saw me banished the girls from my room, she decided to remain in her room and I didn't say anything about it due to the fact that I intend to placate my already steamed mind by directly confessing my love to Deena tonight.
I've gotta do it tonight. Who knows? I may even be lucky enough to sow my seed into her sacred garden.
I originally intended to do this on Wednesday but with today being Thursday, I guess I've got to man up tonight.
Based on what all three girls did five days ago, they've been seriously relenting on their past mistakes. I guess the real reason why I've been so annoyed these past few days was due to the ignorance I chose to have towards their behaviors which had been sprouting for quite some time now.
To be honest, I love all three girls and blinded by the fact that I do not want to accept what I was seeing, I decided to not say anything.
Granted, they are still kids and my incompetence resulted in me not raising them properly.
I do not abhor their clingy deportment nor their misguided obsession towards me but I knew I had to have a serious talk with all three girls.
The talk between all four of us commenced immediately upon our arrival back home.
And noticing the fact that all had begun to adopt the habit of begging me with their puppy dog eyes.
They had all come to the conclusion that doing so would make it easier for me to forgive them and to prove them wrong, I decided to send them back to their rooms.
I'm really just glad that Alice was a priestess that was mainly based on healing and defense magic.
With that she was able to heal herself back to normal which was a bonus for me actually.
Well I've been spying on all three girls without me actually moving a muscle for the past five days now.
It's the least I could do to take note of their behaviors and to see which one of them still hadn't learnt her lessons.
All three had promised themselves to act more proper but I still watched them very closely using [[Awareness]] from a significant distance away from them.
To my surprise, all three girls had taken a drastic change from how they were before. Even Leah and Mia had visited the library more often, it was really a sight to see but to them, I was still acting as though I wasn't concerned about them at all.
"Daddy, I'm so sorry, "
She said it again, thinking I didn't hear it the first time. I have to stop with the act now and let them know I've forgiven them already lest they begin to fall ill after worrying too much on the issue on ground.
After all, I had given them a thorough remark on how I really felt. There's no harm in accepting their forgiveness now.
I'm not really a perfect father neither do I know everything. I didn't defeat a whole demon army on my own, I had friends and colleagues by my side.
We learnt, sweat, fought and won the battle together. I decided to take on this new adventure of mine to learn more things about life.
If I hadn't decided to raise all three girls, I would have probably decided to start a hot spring resort. With the amount of money I had with me, building such a thing won't be too arduous for me.
My desire to achieve such dream still lingers deep in my mind. What am I saying? Back to the issue on ground. I can sense both Leah and Mia behind the door of the library, trying to listen if Delilah actually makes any progress in seeking my forgiveness.
*Hush*
I gestured towards Delilah not to make a sound and Immediately, her cheeks reddened and her eyes glittered, clearly she was excited by how I didn't snubbed her as usual. She nodded her head in understanding and ...
*Poof!!*
Right after Delilah understood what I intended her to, I held her hand and teleported behind both Leah and Mia who were both glued to the door as they desperately tried to listen to what was going on inside.
Seeing both girls, I couldn't help but chuckle inwardly before shifting towards both girls and whispering in their ears.
"I will eat your brains,"
"Ahh!!"
"Ahh!!"
Both exclaimed at high pitches due to the shock they felt by my sudden declaration.
"Haha!!"
I tittered after witnessing both girls terrified expression.
"Wuee!!.... Papa, that was cruel,"
"Wuee!!.... Dada is mean,"
"Haha,... Sorry sorry, but it was really fun,"
Both girls began to weep after realizing it was me all along.
"Papa!! I'm sorry! I'm sorry,"
"Forgive me Dada,"
All three girls rushed towards me as they hugged me with their eyes streaming in tears and their runny nose secreting a transparent fluid.
"It's okay."
It's nice to see they've learnt their lessons. I'm no child expert but I certainly know that raising a kid isn't easy, not to mention three demon girls.
No matter what they become as they grow, I will always love them but I will never remain ignorant again towards teaching them properly.
