"Now then, young man! Would you prefer to have a talk with me while having a cup of tea or would you prefer coffee?"
The middle-aged man asked Michel while offering him to sit on the chair in front of them.
Michel whose eyes were firmly fixed on the middle-aged man pulled the chair towards himself as he sat on it with arrogance.
"I would prefer to know who the hell you are first"
The middle-aged man simply smiled at his action, "Guess the blood of Crazy Necromancer is really flowing in your veins...well, let me introduce myself in that case"
"My name is Kasim, I am a retired official of 'Demon coterie' guild"
"Huh!", Hearing his name, Michel felt like he had heard the name somewhere but failed to remember where he heard that name.
"I Invited you here...."
"You forced me here...." said Michel as he cut off Kasim with a stern look. The middle-aged man smiled helplessly at his remark and continued correcting his sentence.
"....I forced you to come here to talk to you about the Crazy Necromancer's Inheritance"
At those words, Michel's ears perked up!
"The Crazy Necromancer's Inheritance....?"
It wasn't that long since he had obtained the inheritance of the Crazy Necromancer, and he had never told anyone about it, he was surprised by how the man that he had never met in his life know about it!
"Now that you already became the Heir of the Crazy Necromancer, you must have also known about the 11 inheritances he left behind, don't you?"
Michel was shocked once again as the man in front of him seemed to know more than what he had initially thought!
He was momentarily caught off-guard by his remark and forgot to respond which gave him away, but he still tried to act like he didn't know anything.
"11 inheritance? what are you talking about?"
But that doesn't seem too convincing for Kasim.
"Well, I assume you are aware of that!", He said looking at Michel who was still trying hard to act dumb.
"Then I will get straight to the point! We the Demon coterie would like to help you get that inheritance, in fact, we already know where one such inheritance is for instance"
Michele hardened up hearing that information.
It seemed like there would be no use in acting dumb in front of him, so he gave up on that and wondered why the man in front of him was telling all of this to him.
"You would like to help me get that inheritance?", He questioned back Kasim.
"Yes"
"And what do you need in return?"
Michel was no fool. There was nothing like a free meal in this world, if Kasim, the man in front of him offering him assistance then it is only because he needed something from him.
"Well, nothing much you just need to join our guild", Kasim said looking at Michel in the eyes, still maintaining a gentle smile on his face.
Hearing his demand, Michel already understood what is going on here.
In the Tower, where strength matters above all, there was only so much that an individual could do alone. So the climbers with a common goal gathered together and called it a guild!
It was just about reaching a certain goal at first but as time passed, the guilds started to become more prominent, one by one they started to monopolize the rewards, gathered strong members, and conquered the floors together.
That's when the popularity of the guilds reached its peak, and thus thousands and millions of guilds formed all around the Tower.
And among them, the competition was fierce and thus birther the "Major seven"!! the strongest 7 of the countless guilds.
The Major seven had a constant power struggle, trying to monopolize the upper floors, and the desire to rule the tower was as strong as ever.
And now, if the news that the Heir of the Crazy Necromancer who was hailed as a hero in the Tower joined one such guild was known, the public opinion and the image of the mentioned guild will soar, resulting in an imbalance in a power struggle, not to mention the more powerful beings who were following the Crazy Necromancer's footsteps would run to join the guild.
The whole plan seemed to be for using Michel and increasing their power, and obviously, The Heir of the Crazy Necromancer would also prove to be an exceptional help to them when he climbs to higher floors.
But too bad for them the one in front was not that easy to trap. And Michel particularly disliked being used by others for their benefit!
"What if I refuse?", asked Michel looking back at Kasim.
"Now, That would be a problem! We can't fight in the city, so no one will be able to touch you in here, but I don't about what may happen outside the city"
He said still maintaining a warm smile on his face!
"so you are now threatening me blatantly?"
"Threatening? I wouldn't dare to threaten the Heir of the Crazy Necromancer, I am just trying to warn you that we are not the only ones after you and not everyone will be as gentle as us in asking a favor"
"What? There are more"
Michel asked utterly stupefied at the new information!
"Actually, there are much more than you can imagine. Let me guess, the major seven. the 10 families and the many enemies of Crazy Necromancer, well, according to my calculation, you have a 0.543% chance of surviving out there without any help"
"What the!! why would they be after me? To use the name of Heir of Crazy Necromancer for their benefit?" Michel just didn't get why would all of them would be after him just because they wanted to recruit him.
"You seem to be misunderstanding something here..."
Kasim said as he realized that Michel what Michel was thinking.
"Huh?"
"They are all searching for you, not to recruit you cause you are the Heir of the Crazy Necromancer?"
" They weren't trying to recruit me? then.....Why were they after me? I am the Heir of the Crazy Necromancer, the only heir of the man hailed as the Hero in Tower and you say they aren't interested in recruiting me?"
"Hahaha, You are still misunderstanding things, huh? let me tell you something interesting then"
"The Heir of the Crazy Necromancer, you-are-not-the-only-one-with-that-title"
He said word by word as if trying to imprint those words into his mind.
