Hanging amidst the countless shining stars in the sky was the red moon, dying the whole world with the color of blood.
Innumerable severed bodies of the monsters that were unlike anything the mass had ever seen were littered around, with a sea of blood running through, covering the hard ground.
Demons, Elves, Angels, Dwarves, Fairies, Humans, dragons, and the many other countless races who resided in the tower stood astonished at the sight in front of them.
The bodies of the monsters that they couldn't even recognize filled their sight for as long as they could see.
The blood which was running like a stream between the dead bodies washed their feet.
And amidst that sea of blood and corpse stood a man.
The darkness covered him like a mother embracing her child and shadows covered his surroundings slaughtering anything and everything that came near him.
His red eye that shone in the dark gave them chills, and the bow in his hand which was showered in blood reminded them of the crazed man and his terrors.
But at this movement, they didn't feel intimated by him rather, they couldn't feel fear from him as it was overwhelmed by awe.
Awe at the man who was standing alone in the middle of the death field carrying the whole Tower on his shoulders.
Like a candle of fire in midst of the darkness.
Like a sturdy rock in the storm.
Like a knight shielding the weak.
he firmly stood rooted to the ground.
His eyes were on the origin watching the rising sun, the rays of sunlight touched his feet as if paying respect for the one who made it possible for countless to see the sun again.
As the light spread, an even more astonishing sight was revealed.
Around him for as long as the eyes could reach, kneeled the army of undead, whose mere presence was making the onlooker's blood run cold.
Skeletons, ghouls, zombies, vampires, spirits, Death knights, liches, wraiths, shadow beings, golems, and countless undead. They kneeled with absolute loyalty in his presence.
The image of a man standing amidst the kneeling undead army was a sight to behold even for the gods.
Even among that army, the 11 beings that stood behind him, like the pillars that supported the falling sky, stood out even more.
A Death Knight wielding two swords that cut through the space itself, leaving even the sword saint in shame.
A winged Vampire for whom, the blood became the arms and weapons.
A Massive bull whose footing alone shook Heaven and the Earth.
A being of Shadow in whose presence the darkness bowed.
A colossal bone dragon who wielded death claws and the power to destroy the world at its mouth.
A human figure who looked like a zombie with countless emotionless monsters behind him.
A Fenrir covered in the darkness, whose mouth seemed to create a black hole.
A man with fairy-like wings giving off the aura of the dead.
A female Spirit whose beauty alone bewitched the gods and demons.
A lich holding a glowing orb, like the grim reaper.
and A mass of flesh, Goliath, A being even more extensive than the giants.
All of them stood silently behind him, like the apostles of the god waiting for his command.
There was something in the hand of the man who was standing in the middle of that massive army.
His back was bent as if he was holding the universe on his back.
Even the ground seemed too weak to bear his weight as he who stood like a mountain suddenly fell to his knees!
Swoosh!
Two pale white and soft hands caught him before he could collapse to the ground.
The undead army of the unknown man flinched at his presence but continued to stand rooted seeing his face.
A devil with red horns and extremely handsome features was the one who caught him as he suddenly appeared beside the man in a split second.
"Will....iam!"
The man covered in darkness stuttered with a slight smile on his face. The blood was oozing out of his nose, and it seemed too much for him to even talk.
"Cough!...cough...!"
He coughed up blood as he tried to talk, but the slight smile on his face was still intact.
"Don't talk anything, hold on for a second, I will heal you in a flash!"
The devil with red horns looked very frustrated, he was taking out various elixirs and splashing them on his body without a second to waste.
A warm smile appeared on the man's face as he looked at the frustrated devil.
"I felt this...ma..ny times...but yo...u...you ar...e...too kind...William"
"Just shut up!"
Tears filled the eyes of the Devil as he cast all kinds of healing spells on the man, but everything was in vain!
"It will... not work..... William.....I.... already exhausted my..... Soul, all that remains is a minute... before my... death"
The devil didn't respond to him as he continued his efforts. At some point, tears started rolling down his handsome face.
"The ruler of the Death couldn't..... even escape the death himself?.... what an irony, Right... William?"
"Just shut up!"
He could no longer hold back as tears flowed out of his eyes like a river.
"I am...glad!"
The unknown man looked at his face as his warm smile got brighter.
"I am glad...that there is someone to cry at my departure..."
"Please don't do this"
The Unknown man held onto the devil's collar as he could fell all his strength slowly leaving his body!
"Listen, William, I.... don't have ...much time! Cough...cough!"
The Unknown man gave the thing in his hand to William.
"Take good care of him, you can do at least..... that much for me.... right?"
William who held the thing looked at the dying man's face.
"You are really going to leave him alone after the promise you made to her?"
The man who was just a step away from death smirked with a pained expression on his remark.
"I dreamt of.... giving my all to him,... but.... the fate..... had other plans, besides...."
The Unknown man looked at the handsome face of the Devil.
"I know.....I know...that you will take care of him, better... than I.... alone could have ever been able..... to"
The devil bit his lips at the inexpressible emotion that surfaced inside him.
"Just tell him that....his father really....loved...h...."
flop!
"..."
He collapsed without being able to finish his sentence.
His body which was previously embraced in darkness started to disperse into particles. And shortly after, His whole body disappeared without a trace in the dark night, like a child returning to his mother's embrace.
"..."
Silence ensued, the death field which was filled with the roars and clashing became as silent as a grave, not even a single individual among the countless beings that were present there, uttered a word.
Except for the one that is!
Ding!
[A great man!]
The tower which helplessly stood behind his back responded to his departure.
[A great man who defended the Tower!]
