Evie rushed out of her room with great speed, tears filled her eyes disturbing her vision.
She ran to the sitting room to find Ezekiel but he wasn't there so she rushed to his room.
"I thought we weren't meant to invade each…" Ezekiel trailed off seeing her tear filled eyes.
"Ezekiel, please help me," Evie pleaded as she walked up to him and broke down in tears.
Ezekiel stiffened as he watched her cry. He had no idea what was wrong with her nor did he know how to comfort her.
He suddenly felt the urge to comfort her, to rake his hands in her beautiful red hair and tell her everything would be alright.
"Could you tell me what happened?" Ezekiel asked calmly.
"I… my mom… I don't know if she… I don't just know what happened!" She said in between her tears.
Ezekiel could not understand what she was trying to say but he was sure of one thing and that was her mother being in danger.
"Get up," he outstretched his hand to help her get up from the ground but Evie kept on wailing.
Fuck! He thought she was a brave, fearless and strong girl? So why was she behaving this way?
Ezekiel made her stand and then embraced her, his hands grazing her hair while she cried her eyes out on his t~shirt.
"Can you tell me what happened now?" He asked when her sobs died down a little bit.
"My mom called me now, after speaking with her, I heard her screams and then it died down and suddenly I heard a masculine voice say, 'you think you can outsmart my master. This is the end of you, Sonia!" Evie managed to explain without crying.
"So you are trying to say that your mom was attacked and you don't know if she is dead or alive?" He asked and Evie nodded her head in agreement.
"Don't worry, I would definitely investigate the issue," Ezekiel added, trying to soothe her.
Evie only nodded her head and the duo remained in the embrace for quite a while.
That was the scene Xander and Juicy saw when they entered Ezekiel's room.
Juicy's jaw dropped, she had been worried over nothing. Her friend was doing perfectly fine with Ezekiel.
Earlier,
Juicy walked with confidence into Xander's home.
After much interrogation from the security officers, she was allowed into the main building.
Xander sat peacefully on the couch, sipping his coffee while going through his phone.
A familiar scent filled the entire room and when he looked up, he found Juicy standing in her glory.
"What a pleasant surprise! What brings you here milady?" Xander asked with a smile on his face.
Juicy did not reply immediately, she only walked up to him and sat down comfortably on the couch beside him.
"I want your help," Juicy said.
"My help? For what?" Xander asked, his expression became unreadable and serious instantly.
"Since the day I went to the club with Evie, I had been calling her line and she hadn't been picking up. I don't know but I feel scared that Ezekiel might have hurt her," Juicy explained.
"And how does it connect to me?" Xander asked.
"I need you to follow me to Ezekiel's home," Juicy stated.
Xander chuckled and sipped his coffee, his eyes were still glued on her and for some certain reason, he found her fascinating and worthy of his attention.
"Really? Can't you go by yourself?" He asked.
"It would be awkward if I walk into his home after what I dragged his wife to do. Did I also forget to mention that he sent someone to get his wife's ring from me," Juicy told him.
"You think that Ezekiel would let you into his house when I tag along with you?" Xander asked and Juicy nodded.
"Can you help me, please," she pleaded.
After a few moments of silence between them, Xander agreed to follow her.
They drove to Ezekiel's house. Due to the fact Xander was the one visiting, the security personnels did not bother to interrogate him or Juicy.
Without warning, they arrived in Ezekiel's room and Xander opened the door which gave view to Ezekiel hugging Evie.
Xander was shocked but didn't show it physically while Juicy's jaw dropped.
Were their eyes deceiving them? This can't be possible.
Evie sighted Juicy and rushed up to friend and engulfed her in a warm hug while Xander advanced into the room and stood beside Ezekiel watching the two women.
"What happened?" Juicy asked Evie after she examined her face.
"I don't know what happened to my mom but I think she was attacked," Evie explained.
"Come here," Juicy outstretched her hand for another hug.
"I think that is enough for now, I hope you guys aren't planning on staying in that position for eternity?" Xander asked after a long time.
The duo broke away from the hug and turned to face the men in the room.
"As I said earlier, I would investigate the issue, no need for tears," Ezekiel said with her s normal cold voice.
"Yes, everything would be alright," Juicy added while gently rubbing Evie's back.
Silence reigned in the room until a figure appeared in the middle of the room making the ladies scream.
How on earth did Paul appear in the middle of the room without passing through the front door?
Before they could understand what was going on, they lost consciousness.
"What the hell? Why are they here?" Paul asked, pointing to the unconscious ladies on the floor.
"And why did you come uninvited?" Ezekiel asked, his eyes had darkened already.
"Really? When was the last time I came, invited?" Paul scoffed.
"I am married now, and I have responsibilities, Paul!" Ezekiel fired.
"Hey, that is enough for you two, we should focus on getting this memory off their brains, we can't afford to let them know who we truly are," Xander said while walking up to the unconscious women on the floor.
