Chapter 2 - Mother's Love

Chapter 2

"Why they do that to my Alina?"

"Are they referring to Alina?"

"Only Alina has a name that means light."

She heard various comments around, she was just quiet around and did not know what to do. She was also amazed at what was happening and couldn't understand anything, she could no longer feel Regina's hold on her while her mother hugged her.

The wedding did not go ahead because of what happened, Celestia only cried in a chair while Prince Arthur asked him to marry her. They also dismissed the guests and only important people were left in the palace to calm down. Alina's chest was throbbing earlier but she couldn't express how she felt because of the fear around her.

The king entered the room where they were hiding. "Everything is back to normal and the sun, the weather is clear again," announced the king who was also obviously nervous about what happened then for a moment his gaze hovered over his daughter Alina.

Then he looked at his daughter Celestia with pity and then he approached her to calm her down.

"What are we going to do?" asked Queen Amirah.

"I don't know, Amirah, right now we have to wait for the arrival of the magic disciples to read Alina's fate, we have to consult with them and so we know the next step."

"Do you believe in prophecy?" Amirah asked her husband.

There was a moment of silence and their children also waited for the king's answer.

"I don't know," he looked at his daughter Celestia as if mourning rather than celebrating the wedding. "Don't cry anymore, son, the marriage will continue but we have to take care of it first."

Celestia nodded but there was regret in the girl's eyes. Then Alina looked at him, Alina also glanced at her sister.

"You're really unlucky."

Everyone was shocked by what Celestia said.

"Celestia!" Amirah's rebuke.

Celestia stood as well as the king next to her, Arthur still did not leave to calm her down in the current situation.

"Why is she really unlucky? I don't even know if she's our brother? It's obvious that she looks different from us, it's unlucky to be like Alina, maybe she's adopted and you just don't want to tell us the truth, isn't it unlucky to receive a child who doesn't belong to family!"

Alina's eyes widened and she couldn't believe she could hear that from her sister. She seemed to feel heavy but she kept her emotions hidden but Regina could feel what was in her heart right now.

"Don't be like that to our brother!" Regina shouted.

"You're another one, you're just like that because you just felt sorry for her!"

"Say that's right, Celestia!" stunned all with full force Amirah rebuked the child.

Celestia's tears flowed again; they understood how she felt that the wedding could not continue on that day that would have been a happy day for them.

"I will not take back what I said because it is true," then the girl released the prince and hurried out.

Arthur didn't know what to do so he quickly followed his fiancé.

Alina felt the gaze of the few left in the room, then left one by one to leave them. Alina stood up and then faked a smile at her parents.

"I'll rest in my room first, I'm sorry for what happened."

"Alina-"

"Leave her alone Amirah, so the child is numb because you always take sides. Why don't you also listen to your other children and not always Alina?"

Alina finally got out with a little more argument with her parents before she got out. Regina immediately followed him.

"It's not true what Celestia said, didn't they say mother that they have black hair so you're no different because you got the race of mother's ancestors," she seemed to be relieved by her sister.

"I'm fine, Regina, you don't have to do that."

She confronted the sister who was still worried about her.

"Are you afraid?" Regina asked her then stroked her cheeks.

The emotion she was hiding was finally released when she burst into tears, her shoulders moved up and down as she sobbed. Regina hugged her to calm her down, they also lost themselves that they can't show any emotion in public, they are very thankful that they are the only ones in the hallway. Regina and Alina don't know how many minutes they will be there, but Alina just wants to be relieved and lose her anxiety.

*

That night Alina just stayed in her room, she didn't go to the family dinner either because she was ashamed to face especially her siblings, she thought of just sending food to her room but she also didn't move much.

It was midnight but she heard a knock from outside her room, she did not move or speak that maybe it was her mother or Regina.

"Princess Alina"

Alina seemed to come to life when she heard the familiar voice from outside; she immediately got up and remained staring at the door.

"Princess Alina, I'm the soldier Erald."

Alina immediately got up and sat down next to the door. She felt relieved because only now could she talk to her best friend Erald. Erald is the only child of the general in Dawn, they were both born and raised. But now that they are of legal age they have to avoid especially since the soldier cannot be friends or inferior to the like of the Roix nobles.

"How are you?" Alina asked.

"You, how are you? I heard the news from outside the palace, are you okay? You can tell me a story; I will listen as long as you sleep. "

There was a moment of silence before Alina answered. "I'm scared…"

"I'll listen," Erald told her.

She immediately opened the door for the young man; the handsome warrior was shocked when she showed up wearing her nightgown. They stared at each other for a moment but Erald quickly hugged her full of concern when he entered her room, they didn't even admit to each other that they felt that only they understood.
