Sweat dripped to my shirt,my lips were dry and my breaths where shallow my face was blank as I looked at the town
"Wait for me!…" desperate voice called for me from behind
The sky was turning orange and the clouds had a pink hue to them, it was sun set.
I turn and see a boy the same age as me stumbling up the hill trying to catch his breath. Sirens were going off in the distance as the town below them was now empty.
I Couldn't feel my legs any more, they were numb and shaky but all I could do was stand there listening to the loud sirens in the distance. I had an indifferent look on my face.
A hand tugged on my shirt making me stumble then fall,
'I can't get up.'
"What's going on why was a evacuation called so suddenly-"
The clouds started to clump together slowly and form a swirl. I just sat there with wide eyes fully aware of what was going on… all i could do was run-
The boy grabbed my collar and lifted me up to his face,
'Why can I see him?'
"Dallas, tell me what's going on! Why are you just sitting there!?"
'Who are you?'
The boy yanked me round and yelled "why aren't you saying anything!? Say something!"
'I can't say anything…'
The boy stopped shaking me and looked up at the sky. I couldn't see his face but I could feel it. His hands started to tremble and his grip loosened.
There was a sudan roar in the sky and the clouds split apart to show a… missile… coming straight down on our town. I turned my head back to the boy and felt something wet fall on my face.
'Was he crying?'
I slowly lifted my hand and touched his face and he clenched his jaw.
The missile hit the ground and for a moment almost as if time stopped his face lit up with the explosions light.
'…it was me...'
'… no, it's him...'
I was blinded by a light,Then I opened my eyes.
'what a dream'
