Loraine was just lying without even changing her expressions. She wanted to get Fred Greyson so,of course, she would exaggerate a little bit.
Loraine was sure that Fred Greyson did not know much about her and of course even if he was in doubt, he would not be able to find any reason not to believe what she said.
Fred Grayson nodded in understanding but Loraine could see that he was disappointed and disheartened from another rejection.
