It was more of an obsession, no longer of love, but the desire to possess something he could not have. And yet, August and Vanessa got together at the end of the story.
'What the heck! I will die just like that! What the heck,' Loraine gawked as she fully recalled the main points of the novel she read.
Now that Loraine reflected, it was a sh*tty story. How could such a selfish, childish, and evil man be rewarded with what he was chasing after all the madness he had committed? Doesn't that make it seem like the end justifies the means? Thus, no matter the shortcuts and plots he committed, it was still alright?
It was one heck of a crazy story. What if youngsters read it and thought it was fine to act like the male lead since he still got Vanessa in the end regardless of his actions?
