The turtle didn't even have a chance to respond, the dagger pierced its neck killing it instantly. After killing the beast Leo calmly cleaned his dagger's blade and turned towards the student.
He had brown hair and green eyes, was on the fatter side, but from the fight Leo saw he was agile even with such a body,
" Wha... ? "
The guy stammered, constantly switching his sight from Leo to turtle.
" Hello, My name is Leo, I'm a first year student in the Sword Academy. I hope you don't mind if I take one tooth from the turtle? "
Leo smiled and spoke after a pause.
" Ye... Hello my name is Lucas I'm a first year student as well and yes, you can take the teeth. As you can see I wasn't in the best position, so I'm grateful for your help. "
Lucas waved his hand and put his dagger in the inventory, before cheerfully answering.
After both of them collected the teeth, Leo opened his watch to check his progress in the Starter Mission.

While he was happy admiring his progress in the mission Lucas freaked out.
" Dude, you have lightning affinity and transformation ability ? "
Realizing he didn't hide his watch Leo facepalmed, because he recalled all the stares directed at him while he was walking towards the forest.
" Yeah, I guess ? "
Leo said dejectedly.
" That's crazy, imagine having rare affinity as well as special ability you must've been born under a lucky star "
Lucas spoke his thoughts out loud.
" Maybe... "
Bitterly smiling Leo slowly replied. He wasn't sure, his whole family was destroyed by demons. His only surviving relative was his brother.
Thinking about his brother he unknowingly reached for his pocket where his brother's medallion should've been.
Not feeling the medallion in his pocket, Leo tensed up. He fanatically started searching all his pockets and received some gazes from Lucas which held a message ' You good ? '.
Leo then recalled his system and thought.
' Do you know where my brother's medallion go ? '

Leo was feeling dejected, but suddenly thought about how his brother had such a thing.
' System, how did my brother have such a valuable thing ? '

With a bitter smile, Leo stopped questioning the System and sat on a close by rock.
How did his brother have this thing, as far as he was told his family, at best, were considered to be barely above poor level. There is no way his brother had such a valuable thing. Imagine just getting your limits removed, a lot would kill to obtain it.
Before getting the system Leo wanted to be low-key, but now he had to keep the facade to not only get taken into the guild, but to survive. There are a lot of jealous beings in this world, if they would come across an opponent that is weak, but have no limits they would crush him before he would become strong.
Thinking about his current situation Leo didn't even see Lucas approaching him.
" Hello, Leo, hello ? "
" Leo, are you good ? "
" HELLO !!! "
Finally after being shouted at Leo finally came back from his thoughts. He turned towards Lucas.
" Sorry, I spaced out. Oh by the way do you see this screen ? "
Leo said and pointed before him.
" What are you on about ? "
Lucas gave him a glance before once again speaking.
" By the way, do you want to team up ? I know I'm weak compared to you, but I have the ability to speak with beasts. I can even attract them with sounds. "
Leo once again got lost in his thoughts. If Lucas can attract beasts we can kill them and collect their teeth faster, but we don't know how many beasts he might attract. Deeply thinking about his options Leo came to a conclusion.
" I'll accept your offer, but I can't team up with you today, because today I want to try something alone. Meet me tomorrow at 8:00 AM at the entrance to the base. "
Nodding his head Lucas didn't pry further and waving his hand walked away from Leo.
Seeing Lucas leave his sensory range Leo scratched his head.
' So other people can't see my System. That's good. '
Once again opening his watch Leo noticed that no information regarding his potential changed and sighted form relief.
' Low-key, Low-key '
Then Leo finally opened his System's notification.

Leo smiled and started focusing on his senses, soon he heard a deep snoring sound coming from his right.
Leo was confused, it's in the middle of the day, why would somebody sleep ?
Slowly walking towards the sounds he saw a huge cave near a cliff. Leo could see a huge black scale snake casually sleeping in the cave. He was dumbfounded, why would someone sleep so openly ?
If somebody would've heard that they would probably give Leo a beating. This beast before him used Mana to conceal the cave. Nobody could see further than 1 meter if they looked at the cave, but Leo's eyes casually penetrated the illusion.
Leo sensed that the beast before him should be around Peak Magical Rank or Elite Rank.
' Heheeh... Free Xp.. '
Leo grinned slowly approaching the snake.
