Leona POV
I heard the front door open, and I went to see who it was.
“Mom,” I heard Fiona greet as Sierra must have come through the front door. “Do you know how late it is? Where have you been?”
I had been staying with them for a few days, since my therapy started. The therapist had encouraged me to try and break the trauma that had a chokehold on me. And the best way that they convinced me to do that was by facing something connected to the thing that I feared the most.
The thing I feared the most was Zale, that part had been easy to work out. And something that was still connected to him, was his cousin Fiona, and his aunt Sierra. They were close enough contacts that I could reasonably be assured that it was doing something to help undo the damage that had been done. And they were far enough away from him that I wouldn’t trigger in their presence.
