Adeline POV
The University was slowly starting to feel like my home. And Eliana and Deluna were starting to feel more like family than just friends. And even with all the drama that was going on with Zale, I was starting to feel at peace.
Or, at least, I was. Eliana, Deluna and I had been having lunch outside the cafeteria building, and we hadn’t been there for very long, when a few girls passed by us, staring. Well, more specifically, they were staring at me.
But they didn’t say anything, not immediately, so I didn’t take too much note of them at first, and just continued with the conversation we were having.
“So the territory is broken into three main parts,” I said again, trying to keep track of all the hierarchy and everything that was being explained to me.
“Basically, yup,” Deluna said again. She was explaining to me how life in the city worked. “And Rogues are mostly criminals or convicts.”
“That’s so not true!” I said. “I’m not a criminal or convict.”
