Chapter 25: No Doubt
Adeline’s POV
“Dude, I seriously don’t know how I’m supposed to catch up with all of this test prep,” Deluna complained as we exited the main building of our department. “I was thinking about doing it over the weekend but I’m so tired!”
I laughed at my friend’s misery, but I knew I was in the same boat as her, too. “It’s alright, exams aren’t still for another few months, so we have some time to relax and catch up on everything.”
She threw her head back in frustration as she groaned. And then as we descended the stairs, she linked her arm with mine and dragged me towards the cafeteria area of the main campus. “You know what, you’re right. Let’s go get some food!”
I nodded my head in vehement agreement and laughed as she pulled me along. The buzzing in my pocket alerted me to my phone ringing and an incoming call—I was surprised when I saw that it was Zale who was calling me.
