I was a little bored from waiting outside, so I decided to observe Mr. Bel's house. It was a simple building with a small courtyard that was filled with all kinds of flowers and plants, emitting a natural fragrance. It seemed that not only did Mr. Bel like the peace and quiet, but his life was also elegantly simple.
However, I didn't walk around much. I stood at the same spot and waited for Kirk to come out. The moment I heard the door open, I smelled something other than the fragrance of flowers.
Someone was coming.
I immediately became alert and pulled the newly emerged Kirk to hide in a corner closest to the entrance. I gestured for him not to speak and mouthed to him that someone was coming. We had to conceal our auras so that we wouldn't be discovered.
