The Roadside Motel, Unknown Location, Unknown State....
Rae Lovell awoke to find herself alone in the motel room with bits of broken glass along the floor as she came to her senses and attempted to make sense of the visions of what occured in her mind. From her understanding something had been terribly wrong with her husband Duke and yet it didn't seem to make her fearful in the least. She recalled him collapsing and the feel of his eyes on her in an intense and unwavering fashion as he began to shift and convulse into something otherworldly. Rae didn't feel all that frightened when she looked upon the angry massive creature that her muscular brute of a husband turned into but she felt the magnetic pull that made her want to be closer to him and his scent seemed very familiar and stronger than ever before. She took a few moments to process what she'd just discovered and it was quite a thing to consider.
All that time, all those news reports and the enormous animal that had been terrorizing the people in every state they were in was Duke the entire time. He had not been aware of it, that much she was sure of as the beast seemed the have intentions of it's own as it resided in the man whom remained oblivious to his own true nature. While she was concerned about his inability to control himself or understand what he would become, she was relieved that she no longer had to worry about him as he was more than capable of taking care of himself after what she'd seen.
Taking a look at the damage done, Rae resolved herself to getting the glass cleaned up and possibly finding a way to explain to the motel owners about the window. She seemed to be doing better now that she had a good night's rest despite awakening on the floor. Of course it had only taken a few moments of her cleaning up the glass and attempting to climb back into bed that she suddenly felt the wave of nausea return and rushed off toward the bathroom where she began to vomit profusely.
She didn't know what was happening to her body, or if Duke being a werewolf of sorts had affected her in some way, but it was all happening a bit too fast as she tried to hold on and compose herself. Duke was missing again and this time she knew exactly why that was. They were no longer in Las Vegas and the trail of bodies he may or may not have left behind while they traveled would only increase the longer he remained unable to control himself.

Unknown Location, Unknown State....
With a pounding headache, Duko Lovell opened his eyes to find that he'd been surrounded via a vast number of trees. The air was a little on the rancid side as he discovered that he was also surrounded by yet another pile of mutilated corpses. This time they were human and animal alike as he attempted to roll over to his side. He was covered in blood and naked as the day he was born, something he found to be a constant since his strange blackouts began. He found himself moving very slowly as the pounding in his head began to become noticeable to him as the initial numbness of having just woken wore off.
It was sweltering as far as the weather went and he was most defiantly feeling it against his bare skin. Sweat soaked his body as he once more got to his feet. The blood seemed to have stirred his excitement as he could hardly ignore that he'd been aroused and his senses were on high alert due to the nature of his initial confusion.
Duko's mind went back to his wife as he made his way toward the looming buildings of the roadside motel in the distance unsure of what happened to him the previous night or if Rae had been alright. He spent a good deal of time taking care of her after the took ill and this only served to make him all the more anxious to get back to her as he was sure she'd still been as ill as she was the previous night.
His concerns were not unfounded as she'd hardly ate and vomited almost every morning, he was disappointed that he ended up leaving her alone when she'd been in need. The naked man rushed back to see about his wife ignoring the mess he'd left behind and the heat of the sun as he moved faster and faster via agility he had only used in times of severe stress and emergency. He took no notice of how quickly he reached the place, almost like he'd only took two giant steps and he was there taking note of the broken glass of their room window and feeling a notion of panic as he leapt back through it ignoring the crushed glass beneath his now cut barefeet in a bid to get to her.

Once inside, Duko moved toward the bathroom door, hearing the sounds of his wife dry heaving as she battled with her stomach over her ability to be comfortable at such a curious time. He watched her for a few moments doing something of a wellness check via his concerned blue eyes and as soon as she went to stand up on wobbly legs he caught her and pulled her close as he helped her reach the shower. They were both in need of a good washing it seemed and were equally naked as they filed inside the shower. Rae seemed to melt against him not at all bothered by the fact that he'd been covered in blood much like a few days prior. Duke leaned down and sniffed her red hair nuzzling her as they stood beneath the rushing water with him holding her via his powerful arms and her enjoying the sensation of being held.
He felt the need to be as close to her as possible as she seemed to feel it for him.
"Duke." she said with her eyes closed as he began kissing her neck.
Duko held his Rae as the water continued to wash away a good deal of the filth that covered their bodies then reached for the soap and began lathering her up beneath the warm water enjoying the pleasant sighs that passed from her lips, especially when his large hand moved along her belly.
Rae sighed leaning further into him as they showered and he managed to get the soap all over them both in record time despite the fact that she'd been of no assistance in that regard. Duko pressed his lips to Rae's shoulder as she closed her eyes taking in the scent of him. She knew he wasn't an ordinary man, but it didn't change how she felt about him nor did it seem to change how he felt about her.
Once the showering had come to an end, Rae found herself once more scooped up into the arms of her husband, as he carried her out of the bathroom and into the main room where he placed her on the edge of the nearby bed. He seemed at peace knowing that she'd been safe and climbed onto the bed where he rested his head against one of the left over pillows as she took a few moments before doing the same, curling her smaller body into his and nestling her head against his impressive chest.
Even before the shower, she'd been highly attracted to the way he smelled. There were no words before they both drifted off once again and Rae found herself doing a bit of reflecting on the images of the black furred beast that lurked within the man she loved.
