Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I'm writing this for the tiny niche of people who enjoy Finance and Fantasy!

"Hello guest", a soft gentle whisper, caressed my ear. The white mist hid the source of the voice as though he's right behind me. I turn around to see, nothing, but a fleeting shadow scurrying away in the white mist.

"Trust me, you won't find me. You wouldn't want to" His gentle voice reached out again, like the call of the siren's voice. A soft singing voice, like a passing wind.

"I know what you want. '' The voice called out to me. The voice changed the mist, the mist became darker, like the dawning sunlight. Colors began swimming inside the misty void, a blue, a green, a nostalgic smell filled the room, the colors began moving again, gaining outlines and detail.

The sun began to shine, as shades began to form, it was a field. A grass field on the cliffside. The mist began to unravel, like I was putting on my glasses and I took off my ear muffs.

I heard the soft sounds of the ocean sea, the sweet scent of salt that mixed with the fish. The gawking of sea birds, the sound of waves crashed on the rocks, the soft wind coming over the cliffside. It was beautiful.

For a moment I looked down, I saw my watch ,the watch I missed. The dress I was wearing, one that I missed. One that felt nostalgic to me. I was back.

The mist appeared again, right next to me, a pair of red eyes appeared. "I can give it to you. I can bring you back"

A gloved hand came out to me. It was veiled in an astral sheet, like the stars were contained in this delicate hand. In the middle was a supernova, a bright yellow sun. The jewels on the hand slowly rotated around the sun.

"Take my hand, if you miss your family. If you want to come back. If you want to stop fighting, If you want a place where you can rest. Where you don't need to fight anymore. A place where you can always live the peaceful life you were meant to live. Where you aren't anyone's tool anymore. Where you can have your own freedom. Where you can be happy. A life meant for you"

It's been 3 years since I've reincarnated in another world. I thought I would miss my friends and family, but it's the little things that I missed the most. The crepes I would eat after school, the sound of the teachers, or the morning alarm even. I miss my Dog, I miss the sight of the city, I miss my friends. I miss the boy I used to have a crush on. I miss a hot shower. I miss this reality.

"It wasn't what you thought it would be" the red eyes still looked at me, but now I felt sympathy from it. "It sounds like you thought reincarnation would be like from the novels you read about"

I smiled, pessimistically. The voice was right. I thought I would be reincarnated as a princess, in a world of a game I used to play. I would be blessed by the Gods with a cheat power, I would then make a harem of hot guys and live my life as the princess, but it wasn't like that.

It wasn't like that at all.

Reality began to sink in when the hunger struck me the first day.

"I'm sorry to hear you had to go through something like that. You deserved better. You deserved to be treated like a human"

Fuck! He was right. I do deserve to be treated like a human, not like a tool to be used. Where some old fart treats me like a slave, where I can't touch those annoying nobles, where I have to pretend to be nice amongst the corrupt priests. I am a goddamn human!

"And you deserve a second chance" The voice called me, the red eyes, with excitement hidden within his voice.

Yes, I do.

I deserve a second chance.

I want to go back home.

"Let's go back home" This time, the red eyes disappeared and morphed into pure black eyes with wrinkles on the side. A soft motherly voice came out, I saw the frail appearance of my mother, who has grown old. Who had soft eyes, and a gentle smile. Her hair had specks of white in it, and her hand reached out to me asking me to come home.

I took her hand and felt my hand caressing her gentle hands that I've missed, as I felt a mild explosion happen between our palms as a soft warmth passed through me.

Like the world announced that spring was coming, and then I realized that I was home.
