Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Leaders

They stood there, watching the capital get destroyed.

"Brother!"

"Sophie! I'm glad you're okay!"

Arthur and his sister reunite. "The capital is..."

"Yes, the capital has been destroyed, but it's better than those undead dragons to scatter from the country; we're lucky to have no casualties."

"Don't worry, brother! We can still rebuild and stand stronger!"

Arthur smiled and patted her head. "You're right."

Half an hour later, using the radar, they detected no sign of life. You may ask if those dragons are undead; of course you can't detect them as they are already dead, right? Let me explain: the radar detects you by your mana; everything in this world has mana around them, from the tiniest insect to even just a rock; everything has mana.

Arthur, Ian, Sophie, and millions of citizens followed Arthur and walked towards Siah and the others.

"Siah! Our savior! Thank you for saving us!" All of them shouted, syncing, and kneeled down to him.

"I, Siah, won't leave you all behind! After creating this mess, I promise in my name that I will help you guys to stand on your feet again!" Siah shouted, and they then started shouting and praising Siah.

"Siah! Siah!"

An hour later, reinforcements arrived from the empire, and from Fuku, Siah and Arthur had a short talk. "Your Majesty Arthur, my reinforcement has arrived; we will return for now; however, we'll be back in a week; please take care until then."

"Of course, your Majesty."

Siah and the others successfully returned, and as expected, the base got attacked as well.

Fuku and the others went into the meeting hall. "As His Majesty predicted, they also attacked us here; however, I easily dealt with it; they are just low undead dragons after all," Fuku reported.

"So 'that' man that the emperor is saying is really the one behind all of these, huh?" Kathy said.

When they captured the emperor, Kathy put a spell on him and made him spill everything. And one of the pieces of information is the appearance of 'that' man; it's still unknown who he is; however, when he came, the emperor got so full of himself as he had someone backing him, waging war one country after another.

"Someone is really behind this; for a man to summon hundreds of undead dragons, he must be powerful," Mae said.

"Yes, he also knows about our technology and wants to steal it. With our power now, it's impossible to win against him; we lack manpower. That's why my plan is to combine our technology, the empire's power, and the kingdom of Lara."

"What? We still can't trust them; if they use that in the wrong way, they might cause trouble; not only that, they can even betray us!" Mae said.

"Do not worry, I'm not stupid. Fuku and I have already planned this; we won't share all of our knowledge; it's only some of it, making sure that if ever they plan to betray us, we can still easily kill them," Siah said with a devious smile.

"What a creepy smile, anyway. With that large plan of yours, take us in too. After seeing the battle earlier, I can say that you're kind, and with that plan of yours, you're an ambitious man," Kathy said.

"Isn't that good? Have some rest first; let's begin our plan tomorrow!" Siah said happily.

In the night, Siah is walking around, thinking deeply. "My old world became worse; people in power manipulated people with money, told lies to people, and started wars against each other. I fear that someday that would also happen to us," he said to his mind.

"They print money out if thin air, there's no difference of that to mine, having points without any value... I should find a way to stop what happened to my world, but how? ... in the past, the paper money is a great way for to exchange for golds, however mine is points, digital, it's almost the same but not, how about I should not give points without any golds? Keeping the golds exchange and the points, the points I've distributed so far will be exchange for my money I have, the real money, I should also discuss this to the others to minimize the exchange of points and money, to prevent them for creating points from thin air, I'll use robots! But robots can be hack and all right? But with this current technology, they can't still do that, the more we advanced so will the robots"

"Siah, it's already nighttime; you shouldn't walk around; it's dangerous," Mae said, suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

"Oh, my bad, I'm just thinking about something."

"You sure think deep; you didn't even notice me following you."

Siah giggled. "Yeah, I'm just thinking about the future."

"The future?"

"Yup, aren't you curious what will happen to us?"

"Well, I am; however, with Siah leading us, I believe that we'll have a bright future. It's good to prepare for the future, but worrying about it won't lead you nowhere," Mae said as she hugged me.

"You're right. Thanks," Siah said, hugging back.

"Let's sleep now, shall we? You still have a lot of work tomorrow," Mae said.

In the morning, in Siah's office

Emperor Arthur presides over the virtual meeting, seated regally, with Duke Ian standing by his side as a trusted advisor. Across the digital table, King Duke is seated, accompanied by his standing advisor. Meanwhile, Siah, comfortably positioned in a chair, initiates the virtual gathering, with Fuku standing attentively by his side, leveraging Siah's advanced technology for the meeting.

It's the same technology they used when they contacted Duke Ian; the three high positions are now having a meeting.

"I will start the talking. I've called you two here for a meeting about an alliance."

"I wouldn't have thought about an alliance with the empire; however, with things now, I might agree with what this alliance is about," King Duke said.

"I will also accept the alliance with Lord Siah leading this; however, I still want to know what this alliance is about before deciding," Emperor Arthur said.

"This alliance is about joining forces with us three. With the recent incidents, we've figured out that there's someone behind those summonings of undead dragons. For him to summon them without breaking a sweat, it's a big threat to us. With my current strength, I can't fight him alone. That's why I request the both of you for an alliance. Of course, this alliance you can also benefit from, like technology, for example."

"Not only that, if ever one of us is in trouble, the other two will help them no matter what; if one didn't do it's duty, then it will immediately be that you broke the alliance."

I already know that it's a common alliance thing to do; however, the eye-catching one is our technology itself. Both of them know how advanced and powerful our technology is, and this itself is beneficial to them.

"I agree to this deal. However, I can only see us benefiting from it," King Duke said.

"He's right. A deal is that all of us gain something from it, but I can't see you gaining something from this; if it's you, you can easily escape from the enemy, no?"

"You both know that my country is small; we may be powerful, but we still lack manpower. That's why I proposed this alliance in the first place," Siah said.

The population of Siah's group is only around 50,000 people, and ¼ of them are citizens; almost all his people joined the military; all of those people are either past slaves or people from slums.

The country of Siah really lacks manpower, no matter how you view it.

"Lack manpower, huh? If I'm correct, it's your doing that takes people from slums all over my country," King Duke said.

"I also heard some of it as rumors about the weird hero who took poor and weak people," Emperor Arthur said.

Arthur and Duke look at each other and have the same thought.

"If that is the case, how about we send some of our people? With that man, power shouldn't be a big deal to you, noh?" King Duke proposed.

"He's right! We also suffered great losses after the tragic events that happened in the capital; not only that, the seven dukes have been executed, and some of the nobles; without them, we can't take care of the people," Emperor Arthur said.

"Fuku, what do you think?" Siah said to his thoughts.

"It will be a great help for us; however, they planned this for them to learn more about our technology, in short, spies," Fuku replied to Siah's thoughts.

"We can't do anything about that anyway; mind as well take it," Siah said.

"Alright then, I agree."

On that very day, the alliance of the three was just the start of the whole new revolution in the world.
