"And her step mother heard it all"
"Unfortunately,"
"The human was killed,"
"Probably," Igdaliah shrugged. "Or worse."
Or worse would mean that he was being tortured.
"Was she exiled?"
"I do not know, she hasn't told me,"
"And it is unlikely even,"
"You think so? Why?"
"The witches wouldn't be such fools as let a witch with her abilities to wander into a human kingdom, it would pay them more to hold her captive,"
"I agree," Igdaliah said, his gaze falling on the slumbering witch on his quilt.
"Did she speak at all about anything else?"
"No," he told him. "But as for now, she will need her rest,"
I said nothing, my mind wandering to what my next course of action would be. The witch did not seem much of threat but I knew better than to believe that.
"She is scarred too," He informed. "A lot,"
