Sal's POV
---------------
Sal leaned his head on the side of the tree.
-Soon I need to climb down a little to meet up with Rosa.-
-And be her friend.-
Sal shyly nuzzled his face on his furry arm in embarrassment.
-Friend…-
In his own brain he was in his own world, and in his stomach, there was another world of problems.
"Grrrh."
Sal's stomach rumbled.
Not a good sign.
Sal shot up, straightening his back, startled.
That's right. A week passed by.
Time to do business.
-I have to do this before Rosa arrives! But if I climb down, I risk being caught again.-
-I don't want to relive those memories.-
Sal's past experiences flashed in his mind.
"..."
"I'd rather not."
"Grrrrrh!"
His stomach rumbled again. This time, louder.
Sal's stomach started to cramp. His mind starts to race.
-But I can't hold it in for much longer!-
-Do I just risk it? I mean, we're friends right, it'll be less awkward?-
"..."
-WHAT AM I THINKING?!- Sal exclaimed in his head, thumping his noggin on the tree trunk in sheer embarrassment.
-Wait, didn't Rosa say something about doing business high up in the trees?-
-Yeah! Why do I even keep climbing down to do it when I can do it here?!-
With a spark of inspiration, Sal started to hypothesize his next course of action.
Surveying the area, looking left and right, Sal gathered up his wits.
-I'll just do it here!-
Adjusting his grip on the tree, Sal repositioned arms, letting his lower body weigh down, and shook his bum, ready to do the job.
Yet a strange feeling creeped in his heart, but Sal didn't pay too much attention.
-Okay, here I go!-
And!
Push!
"HGH!" Sal grunted, his whole body focused on his stomach, utilizing every drop of strength to push!
Sal's claws dug into the bark as he squinted his eyes. He saw flashes of white and sparkling stars, but that didn't hinder him.
But the strange feeling poked his heart. Shame? No. Excitement? No. It was a deeper feeling, a feeling running through his veins, inscribed in his bones.
It was the urge to follow his instincts.
The instinct to climb down and poop, not high up in the trees!
The instinctual feeling kept poking in his heart, then scratching, then ripping shreds of it. But Sal already committed, he was going to end what he started! Trying his best to push past the tortuous emotions in his heart tumultuously rumbling about, Sal focused on the problem at hand.
"EUGH!"
Something long slowly poked its head out.
"HUH!"
It slowly wiggled out, revealing a deep brown and green shade.
"MGH!"
Long, thick.
"EEEEH!"
Only one word can describe such a thing: impressive.
"HUEK!"
With one last breath, Sal breathed in…
And exhales out…
"HAAAAH!"
"Pop."
With that, the impressive achievement worthy of a trophy descended down, towards the rainforest floor, disappearing down into the trees…
Sal took a deep breath out. The painful feeling in his heart stopped and slowly disappeared.
-I think I might start doing my business up here, but I don't know if my heart can take it…- Sal wondered, reflecting back.
"CAW CAW! YOU POOP LIKE THAT? KAKAKA!"
A loud, high-pitched voice reverberated into the rainforest.
The piercing laughter sent Sal pale. He froze on the spot.
"KAKAKAKA! WAIT TILL MY FRIENDS HEAR THIS!"
And with that, the bright red, yellow, and blue figure flew away, laughing and squawking the whole time.
